Out & About | Vicki Parker

Hi friends, it's Vicki here today with my last layout from the June Fox Box. I have wanted to use this globe cut file from Paige Evans for the longest time and I finally had my chance with this Perspextive. The compass comes in black, but the 'Out & About' was originally blue, so I spray painted it black and you would never know - it turned out so well! I lightly sanded it first so that the paint had a better chance of sticking, so I would recommend doing that if you are going to try this. I cut the globe on one of Paige Evan's Horizon papers (the patchwork one) and before I stuck it down on foam, I used the packaging technique on the background with some blue watercolour to give the impress

Mischief Managed!

Hi Fox Friends, I'm sharing a layout for June that, for me, is quite a departure in style! I've been fascinated with the mixed media designs that I've been seeing and decided to have a go myself! I started this page by applying grey paint using the packaging technique and I also added some multi coloured ink splatters. I was aiming for a look that worked well with the wizard photos! Then I used some texture paste through a stencil to create the horizontal lines. I glued a selection of colourful translucent Perspextive stars on top of that. I then cut a strip of patterned paper which I glued below the the painted area to which I added three photos backed with a couple of layers. I then added

Here comes summer!!

Hello foxy friends! I created this 12 x 12 layout over a couple of days of what seemed like non stop rain!! Here we are in June and at the moment it doesn't feel very summery at all, I hope that by the time you read this it really will be Flaming June!! I wanted to create a background in bright, hot colours so I pulled out my Distress Oxide inks in picked raspberry, spiced marmalade and twisted citron, once dry I added Pinkfresh studio liquid watercolours in bubblegum and sunshine, the names alone made me feel better! I took a straw and blew some trails whilst the watercolour was still wet! I was looking at the bright yellow Summer sunglasses perspextive and dug out a photo of my youngest da

Party All Night! | Niki Rowland

Hi Bramble Fox Friends! Niki here today with another layout using gorgeous Bramble Fox Perspextives. For my layout today I've used two sets of Perspextives which are both new to the store. The yellow stars and moon are from a set called 'Rocking Horse'. There's a rocking horse in the set too but I've just used the stars and moon. The other set is called 'Baby Elephants' and aren't they just sooooooooo cute! I started off this layout by applying some soft pink Shimmerz Paints to the Crate Paper star paper from the All Heart collection. Once it was dry I started to build up my layout using a few paper layers as well as pom pom trim and some tissue paper too. When all those layers were in place

Cute as a Button

Hi foxy friends, it's Wendy up on the blog today sharing a layout using some of the latest perspextives just perfect for all those favourite baby photos, grandchildren, nieces and nephews! I have used a pre painted background for this by Vicki Boutin given to me by a friend. It was a quick start but I think I prefer to dabble with the paint myself. This paper was perfect however as it incorporated all the colours of the perspextives. I have used Pink Fresh Joyful Day collection, a gorgeous pastel collection again perfect for co ordinating with the colours. The photos were of my daughter at nursery when she was two years old and so the rocking horse complimented well as I associate them with

#Be Your Selfie {June Stash Smash}

The #Be Your Selfie and camera Perspextives came in the June Fox Box, but lucky for us, you can buy these pieces as a set in the shop! What a fun and versatile title for all the selfies we take these days. I used mine to make this 8 x 8 layout featuring this fun picture of some friends trying to capture that perfect selfie. Our Stash Smash challenge this month is to use inks or paint, and I decided I'd join the fun by using some ink and stamps. Since this is a stash-busting challenge, it was the perfect excuse to use some of my older stash.I searched my stash for some camera-themed elements, and came upon the viewmaster reels on an old sheet of patterned paper. The more I searched, the more

Creating Art

Don't know about you but I just love taking a sheet of white cardstock & making a messy, arty background that's exclusive to me. I can choose my fave colours & add as much or as little as I want & cater it to match any embellishments. With this in mind I started creating the background for this layout, first adding 2 colours of acrylic paint, brayering them on & then going over that with stencils, stamps & ink splatters. Another of my things is adding texture, so on this page I've messily sewn on some tulle, added stamped text circles & some gold leaf trim ( which Morag hated when I got it but now I bet she secretly wishes she had some!!!) The perspextive I've used is the ' Create Art' but I

Out and About

Julie Taylor and I like to grab a Snapchat selfie when we are out - we just love the filters! I have used the I Heart Crafting collection from Echo Park for this layout. I love the fun little designs. I created lots of places where I could tuck in the cute ephemera pieces and of course Perspextives. For my title, I used the Out and About design that is in the June Fox Box but in white (it's in the shop in case you need one). I inked some watercolour paper to back the outline letters for extra interest. There are some new limited edition pieces coming to the shop this month. I am particularly fond of the hot pink Petite Perspextives. They are transparent and totally gorgeous. The rumpled pape

Hello Summer!

Hi Foxes, Kay here today using the lovely summer themed Perspextives from the June Fox Box. I really adore the Summer sunglasses and the cute little matching glasses. I thought I would go overboard with cute sunglasses as my theme. Most of the sunglasses were fussy cut from a sheet from Crate Paper’s Wild Heart collection. I used a background paper from the Let’s Travel collection from Carta Bella. I backed the large yellow Summer Perspextive with patterned paper to make it stand out and then added the two smaller pairs of sunglasses underneath. The Hello Perspextive is available in cerise or navy and is perfect for a summer layout. The Summer Sunglasses and Hello are both available in the B

Together

Hi! For my last post on the blog, I made a page that represents love! Bramble Fox's words are perfect for decorating our layout. I chose the word together. And the white color blends so well with any color. Thank you for following me in my adventure as DT.

#BeYourSelfie | Niki Rowland

Hey Foxes, Niki back with you today with my latest layout and I've used the #BeYourSelfie Perspextive from the June Fox Box. I absolutely loved this title, it's so perfect for all the selfies I take and those my kiddies take too, there's always a funny one to scrap! I've used the All Heart Collection by Crate Paper for this one, combined with a paper by Pinkfresh Studio. I love the dark grey colour of these Perspextives as they are not as harsh as black but are still really bold and stand out brilliantly. As well as the #BeYourSelfie, I've also used the camera that is in the same June Fox Box. I also added in a few hearts from the Hearts Galore Petite Perspextives too. I've used a bit of mix
