Daxie Love!!!

Hi there Foxy Friends!

Today I'm sharing a layout all about Daxie Love!! Yes, I know...indulge me please! I've never been a 'doggy' person, I wasn't brought up with dogs and yet I now find myself the very proud hooman mum of Rory, our one year old dachshund. The 365 perspextive in the September Fox Box was perfect for my page documenting Rory's birthday, celebrated with his dachshund family!

When I sit down to create a layout I'm never quite sure where I'm going with it, which is why I don't do process videos! I decided to use up some Bloom Street papers by Paige Evans as I liked the strong pink and with a bit of judicious cutting I knew I could get some plain navy! Okay a bit stereotypical but hey ho! Rory was rather outnumbered by females (he's the one without a collar as it was at our house!) his sister June, Mum Betty and 'Auntie" Faith all came over for fun and games!

I started by creating the banner along the top of the page with torn strips, fussy cut flowers, a cluster of threads and the adorable little globe perspextive with the cut out heart. It's from the Globes collection which is also available in pink and white. As I've shown here, the globes can certainly be used on non travel related layouts!

I chose three of my favourite photos from the day and mounted them on the pink and blue papers. I tucked in die cuts using the Fox Dies (Set 3) and mounted the 365 perspextive on pink paper and added 'Days' in puffy alphas.

I decided to add a little banner and yes, I did make some full size bunting much to my husband's incredulity! I used my dachshund die to create the embellishment at the bottom of the page along with one of my favourite 'go to' petite heart perspextives, a thread cluster and some fussy cut florals.

Finally I added some splatters. I should say I did start by putting down a blue and pink watercolour wash but it's hardly visible!

I'm pleased with how it came together and now I need to attend to Rory and take him for for a walk! Life with a daxie is never boring and he has become a much loved family member!

Until the next time, Happy Scrapping and stay safe.
