Scrapbook Glamour

In this month's Fox Box, the star attraction was the 'Shoot for the Stars' in pearlescent gold. This shimmery design adds glamour to any project..

I built the page design around the star theme. To create the star beams that you see in the background, I used washi tape to mask off an area before lightly dragging the Distress ink (Picked Raspberry & Worn Lipstick) from the bottom upwards. The effect is a subtle, graduated ink effect.

Next I outlined some of the star beams and stars using a fine liner. I'm not a messy, inky scrapper - I have to go for controlled texture - so I added some stamped sentiments here and there.

As the photo was taken at Christmas, I added some 'pine' foliage behind the title and photo - the contrast of the green against the pink really sets off the title.

To finish the layout, I added some sprinkle star confetti, little gem-like sprinkles and stitching.

I hope that you like the layout and maybe feel inspired to have a go yourself. We'd love to see your layouts. You can share and chat with other crafters on our Facebook Group - Bramble Fox Friends.
