Sunflowers & Bees Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

This delightful 8" x 8" scrapbook layout used the gorgeous September Fox Box. My layout design and details are inspired by the brilliant class I took from Morag Cutts in the Lovin Summer Workshop. There are three awesome classes in this workshop, by Morag and Julie Taylor, and if you've ever wanted a peek inside these ladies' heads as they create their amazing layouts, this is the workshop for you! All three classes are just packed with genius tips and tricks from these masters of gorgeous details!

Please note that since I scrap 8 x 8, the products will look a bit larger on my layouts.

I had this darling photo of my friend's daughter holding a sunflower, which was just perfect for the August Fox Box, particularly the beautiful sunflowers in the Paper Snips. I searched my paper collections to find one that would go with the Paper Snips I wanted to use, and Carta Bella's Here, There, and Everywhere fit the bill.

In one of Morag's classes in the Lovin Summer Workshop, she shows how to create these charming layered homemade flowers. I tucked some pearls here and there in the flower clusters for a bit of pretty shimmer. I made the leaves by just cutting leaf shapes and bending them with my fingers for added dimension. How adorable are these bumble bee Perspextives that are in the September Fox Box?

The title piece in the Fox Box also has a bumble bee on it. How clever! I used a tag, inspired by Morag's page, to hold my title. The patterned paper I used for my tag was competing a little with the detail on the title Perspextive, so I overlaid some torn vellum over the plaid, and that softened it. Morag fastened seam binding ribbon and a tassel to her tag. I found some seam binding ribbon in my stash, and I dangled a bee charm from one of the uniquely-shaped safety Pins in the Bramble Fox Bazaar. If you haven't taken a stroll through the Bazaar--go check it out right now. So many unique and interesting bits and bobs to make a statement on your layout.

I added some bits and pieces I fussy-cut from the Paper Snips that came in the Fox Box Plus, along with another Paper Snips, featuring tags and labels that will be in the shop soon. Seriously--how fun are those speech bubbles? And the teeny-tiny bees are so, so fun!

One of my favorite details on Morag's layout in the class was how she added Pom Pom Trim (also available in multiple colors in the Bazaar), edging it along that torn-up bit with the little button. She also added another brilliant detail to that part of her layout, but I couldn't make it work on my page since I scrap on a smaller canvas, but to see what she did, you'll have to register for the workshop.

I hope I've inspired you to check out the Lovin Summer Workshop. Morag and Julie are both scrapbooking visionaries, and you will learn so many of their secrets to adding their trademark unique and beautiful details that make their layouts so fascinating to look at. Also, I hope I've inspired you to take a look at the Bramble Fox Bazaar. And if you haven't yet subscribed to the Fox Box Plus, what are you waiting for? You won't regret it.
