Together at our house!
Hi there Foxy Friends!
I love this time of year when I've finally made my choices from the Christmas collections available and Bramble Fox has all it's gorgeous seasonal perspectives available in store! I'm currently working with the Crate Paper Snowflake collection and I love it!! It's not the usual traditional Christmas colours which is perhaps why it appeals to me!
I'm sharing a 12x12 layout using a black and white photograph taken last Christmas. When the colours in a photo don't match the papers I want to use I'll often convert it to black and white.
I started by choosing the paper I wanted to show as my border and then using watercolour paints I added a rough tartan effect block to the white cardstock to emulate the pattern. I pulled out various embellishments and knew I'd be using the 'together' perspextive.
I layered up my photo adding ephemera pieces, fussy cut florals and foliage, twisted threads in complimentary colours and the together perspextive which forms part of my title. The colours were a good match for the adorable little festive lighbulbs in the plum, mustard and blush colourway available in store. Using the plum and blush only I strung them across the top of my page.
I added a touch of copper paint to the top of the bulbs and a flick on the sides to give the effect of them catching the light!
I added puffy alphas to complete my title and gave them touch of copper paint too!
To complete the layout I roughed the edges of the white cardstock and added a touch of copper paint which I also added to some of my tartan lines finishing them with tiny gold stars.
You may spot the tiny BF stars nestling amongst my clusters too!
I'll be back next month with another project using seasonal perspextives. Until then Happy Scrapping and don't forget to share your creations on the Bramble Fox Facebook page, we love to see your work!
