A rainbow of happiness

Hello friends, it's my turn today to show you what I've been doing with the Bramble Fox perspectives this month. Have you seen the rainbow in store? Please hold me back from getting more, I am in love! I recently got the Cocoa Vanilla Happiness Collection and the two together are a match made in heaven. I started by using the packaging technique on the background with some distress oxide inks to create a base for the layout. It's super simple to do and just gives your layout that little something extra colour-wise. I matted my photos and layered them up with lots of pretty embellishments and a title, all from the same collection. And then the finishing touch, which completed the layout in th

Dude With Tude!

Hi Fox friends, Giselle here with a new boy themed layout. There are lots of scrapbooking papers and embellishments for girls mostly in pink and flowery designs, so I'm always happy to find things related to boys - this Perspextive is perfect! To begin my design I stamped some horizontal lines and ink splats along the lower half of the page, then I tore some strips from Pinkfresh Studios Out & About collection. I glued these in place and curled the top edges. If you like the look of torn edges but are wary of ruining a sheet of paper, just moisten the paper where you want it to tear, using a thin paintbrush dipped in water. This helps to break down the fibres and you'll get a more accurate

Together we did it!

Hello friends! Philippa here sharing my Together We Did It! 12 x 12 layout using the fab 'together' perspextive from the April Fox Box and a two of the cute Little People petite perspextives available in store. I've used them to document Day 7 of an amazing trek in Nepal that my daughter and her friend have just completed, so proud of them both! I have used papers from Pinkfresh Studio Out & About, I absolutely love this collection! I started by applying water colour paint using the packaging technique and some random splatters to my background then added tags, cardstock stickers some enamel dots and threads. I combined the 'together' perspextive with the puffy alpha stickers for my title a

Free & Wild!

Hi Kay here sharing a boy themed layout with you today. I used 15 different perspextives on this design! Can you spot them all?! I began with plain white cardstock and then added some splatters, stamping and texture paste. I added a few pieces of torn paper, some cut out circles and my photo followed by all the lovely Perspextives. I started with Dude with Tude and then Free and Wild (from the Boy Dude set). Then I added a few Fancy Stars, an Arrow from Arrows 2 and a boy from Little People. I absolutely adore the little stars! I really like this colour palette and the way the Perspextives just finish off the layout. Go check out the store for all the lovely new designs. Thanks for stopping

Favourite Places

Hi there! I can't believe another month has gone by and I'm back on the blog. Wendy here sharing a travel LO using the "Favourite " perspective from the April Fob box and "Hello World" from the latest new products and a few older perspectives too. I am a real sucker for all travel paper ranges and have combined Crate Paper Here and There, Jen Hadfield Chasing Adventure and Pink Fresh Out and About. They are all so perfect for NYC as they all incorporate yellow cabs, luggage tags and Sky Scrapers. I also managed a little bit of stash busting with the washi tape along the bottom and also in the top corner. I cut the travel cut file in black bazzill to balance the colour with the black NYC per

You Are a Rainbow

I'm a fourth grade teacher, and I've been making pages to give to each of my students as gifts, and I'm sharing one of them today. The tone-on-tone rainbow technique is so popular right now, and when I got the awesome rainbow in the Fox Box, I knew just what to do. This little girl has a very colorful personality, so this Perspextive was perfect on her layout. I scrap 8 x 8, so the Perspextives will look larger on my pages than they do on a 12 x 12 page. I started my page by backing a cut file with patterned paper scraps in all the colors of the rainbow. I lightly traced the clouds onto my white cardstock and labeled the colors inside the traced cloud so I'd know where to paint the watercolo

You Are My World

Hi there Fox Friends, Julie back with you again today sharing a 12x12 layout using the You Are My World globe, Fancy Hearts & Arrows V2 perspextives. I'm slowly doing an album as a christening present for my friends daughter, who's recently had her first child, & I now get gorgeous photos, like these, to scrap. I first started by marking out the circle before adding my mixed media, inks, stencils, stamps & sewing & then built my photo mat & clusters around that. I hardly used any patterned paper on this layout, only as a photo mat, as I think the mixed media & perspextives carry this page beautifully. The Fancy Hearts & Arrows V2 are already in the store & are the perfect embellishment to an

Spring Colour | Morag Cutts

Hello - a Spring inspired colourful scrapbook layout using Bramble Fox Perspextives and Cocoa Vanilla Happiness collection.

Happy

Hi! The Happy Perspextive from the April Fox Box is a beautiful script font which inspired my pretty layout. I kept the style clean and simple using only papers and ephemera. Have a good day!!!

7 Months | Niki Rowland

Hey there Bramble Fox Friends! Niki here sharing another layout made using the April Fox Box. I've used the gorgeous rainbow for this layout to document my baby turning 7 months old. I firstly created the background using Shimmerz Paints and the packaging technique. I added several different colours of paint all in blue tones. I then applied shimmery texture paste through a Bramble Fox Stencil: Fox Cut #1. I used the stars and attempted to apply them in a star-burst fashion. Once the background was dry I then chain stitched some lines. I added my photos and that beautiful rainbow from the April Fox Box. I really liked that it wasn't traditional rainbow colours. I then added several stars fro

Favourite Photograph | Niki Rowland

Hey Bramble Fox Friends! Niki here today sharing a new layout using the super-gorgeous 'Favourite Photograph' Perspextive which was in April's Fox Box kit which you can sign up for on the Bramble Fox Website. I started off by cutting a Paige Evans cut file of a row of books. I then backfilled it using the Horizon collection. I wanted to add it to a white cardstock background but it didn't show too well becuase the cut file was cut from white card too. So I added some mixed media products by Shimmerz to the background, so that some colour would shine out from under my cut file. I then added details to my books and added my photo cluster. I loved the Favourite Photograph Perspextive and I trie

April Stash Smash

It's time for a new challenge. This month's Stash Smash is really easy... Topic: Favourite Place Have your got a favourite place? Is it your home? A romantic getaway? Is it somewhere you're hoping to go one day? Stash: Stitching/thread Sewing adds great texture to a layout. Hand stitch or machine stitching - it's up to you! I have been playing with the new April Fox Box. This month's collection has wonderful sentiments which are so versatile and easy to use. We found my favourite place a few years ago in Mexico on the Yucatan penninsula. Cenotes are beautiful oasis with fresh water pools. We visited a few of them while we were there - each different but all so beautiful. A real paradise. I
