Layout using the Happy Moment Perspextive out the April Fox Box.

This layout came together with pure joy from start to finish. The Happy Moment Perspextive felt like the perfect title, as it really captures the mood of the memory and the design. I used the April Fox Box as my starting point, letting the colours guide my entire layout. I knew straight away I wanted everything to feel bright, happy, and full of life—just like our trip down to London to meet up, spend time together, and enjoy an amazing show as the beginning of some very special 60th birthday celebrations.
I’d been hoarding this gorgeous background paper in my stash for quite some time, just waiting for the right moment, and this was absolutely it. The colours were spot on! I trimmed it down slightly and mounted it onto black cardstock to really make it pop and to tie in with the other black accents scattered throughout the page.

Because I loved the background so much, I wanted it to be a real feature. I decided to stitch along each line using a tonal thread. It took a little while, but it was so worth it—the texture it adds is fabulous and gives the whole page extra depth and interest.

I placed my two landscape photos on the left-hand side, layering them onto patterned paper matts and embellishing around them with trims, frames, labels, and some fussy-cut paper-snips pieces. At the top of the photos, I added extra frames and plenty of tickets to clearly spell out that we were heading to a theatre production.

To balance the design, I created a smaller secondary cluster at the top right. Finally, my title sits to the right of the photos, layered onto a frame to add dimension and complete this happy, celebratory layout.
Thanks for joining me today.
Until next time,
