

Let's Get Stripey
Using stripes in my background is a go to technique for me, it adds impact without being complicated. For this layout I used strips of patterned paper cut to 1.5 inch thick & placed them at a 45 degree angle. If you choose to do the same you will find that some of the strips will not be long enough to cover the page, fear not, just cut them in half & hide the gap behind your photo, no one will ever know. Create A Christmas Tree Only Using Embellishments
We all have more embellishments then we will ever need so this layout is a great way to use some of them up. I started by lightly drawing a triangle in pencil, mine was roughly around 9 inches in width & height. The first thing I added was my photo, then some of the bigger pieces of ephemera, like the fussy cut ice stakes & bow from the Bramble Fox Paper Snips #083.
