Curious bunnies! | Virginia

Hi foxy friends! Virginia here with a springy project for you. :)

Today’s layout features a “Happy Easter” phrase acrylic and four cute little bunnies, included in the Spring 2020 collection by Bramble Fox. Unfortunately, this year Easter fell during the COVID-9 lockdown, so I couldn’t enjoy the good weather and outdoor activities as I always do and I couldn’t visit my family either. Nevertheless, I wanted to use these beautiful perspextives, so I created a layout with a photo of my mother and me shot a couple of years ago.

I chose the latest collection by Dear Lizzy (Here and Now), which is very bright, fresh and colourful: it matches my scrapbooking style and is perfect for a spring project. I knew I wanted to fussy cut all the juicy and beautiful lemons in the Sunkissed paper and arrange them around my photo. I also wanted to incorporate parts of the stunning rainbow stripe paper called Summer Vibes.

As a background, I used a Canvas Bling Texture Cardstock by Bazzill, in the colour sparkle, which is a shimmery light blue. I tore a strip of the rainbow paper to have its whole bright palette of coulours on one side of my layout and I loosely painted the central part of the background in yellow and pink. I used some paper scraps to back my photo and I located it almost in the centre of the page. Then, I arranged lots of lemon branches around it and, in particular, making them come out from behind the colourful paper strip on the side.

I set the “Happy Easter” acrylic piece, which of course is the title of my layout, just below my photo and, since it is white, in order to make it stand out more I backed it with a piece of the rainbow striped paper that I used on the right side, but with the stripes in orthogonal direction. I really love the effect that this creates. I placed the four pretty bunnies around the photo, as looking at it or… jumping out of it.

Since I felt that something was still missing, I added some lovely butterflies, which are included in the Meadow Flowers set of the spring collection. Some of them are full, others have only the outline: I love them all! A little bit of journaling and some more ink splashes completed my composition.

I had lots of fun playing with these perspextives, as usual. I hope you liked my project. Go have a look to the online store for new coming products. I will see you here soon.
