Scally Wag starburst layout

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with my latest layout using the gorgeous dog themed perspextives in the store. I made this layout only a few days before we said goodbye to our gorgeous little Bubbles, so this is very poignant for me. She was a ray of sunshine and gave us such love, that I thought she should have a sunburst layout! I started by taking a mix of papers from Carta Bella and Pinkfresh and teaming with some coordinating cardstock. I cut a template for the wedges and cut out 10 pieces in different colours and arranged them around in a circle. I stuck them down lightly and then stitched them to the page using a zig zag stitch on one edge of each wedge. After doing this I realised

Dog Gone Cute

Hello again Fox Friends! I'm sharing a new layout this month using the 'Dog Gone Cute' Perspextive - and it is definitely really cute! I chose to have one in white to give myself the greatest choice of papers to use with it and I like how well it's defined against the bright yellow cardstock. The design of this layout is inspired by our very own Morag who tied two tags together on a previous page and I have taken that idea but changed it to add some cross stitches that join a few tags here and there on my design. I started by splashing some ink drops onto the yellow cardstock and trimmed it to fit onto the heart patterned paper. Once I'd mounted the photo on some white paper I added it to th

Life's a journey!

Hello there Bramble Fox friends Philippa here again today sharing a 12 x 12 layout using the cute little bicycle perspextive and one of the exclusive white swans from the March Fox Box. I love quotes and I'd been thinking about the quote: Life's a beautiful journey, enjoy the ride so the bike seemed perfect on this layout. The photo is of my girls when they were a lot younger and I've used the hidden journalling to record some thoughts on the journeys they've both been on so far in their lives. The bike basket was just crying out to have flowers spilling out of it! My layout evolved as I built up layers of torn papers, added hand stitching, ribbons and bits and pieces from my stash and vario

Run Like The Wind

Hi everyone, I'm up on the blog today sharing another March LO , I can't believe we're already half way through March!!!. I was in Widemouth Bay, Bude, Cornwall on a very windy day a few weeks ago and our friend's dog Luka was racing over the beach, the kites were perfect to put with this photo to blow in the wind. I started with the background and used watercolour paint to match the colour of the turquoise/green kite perspective, then I added the borders, to co ordinate with the colours again. I painted some cardstock in the three corresponding colours to the kite perspectives using Art Alchemy acrylic paint and then I used my Big Shot to cut the swirls and felt they looked like the bluste

Living my Best Life | Niki Rowland

Hey there! Niki back today with my second layout using the March Fox Box. I've used the 'Living my Best Life' Perspextive. I regularly struggle with white perspextives as I often use white backgrounds, so I thought I'd try an change the colour of this one. I sanded it slightly, and then painted it with white acrylic paint. Once dry I then painted it again with a yellow Shimmerz paint, which is a water colour paint. I've used the Paige Evans Whimsical collection for this layout and I chose the yellow paint to match the yellow in the papers. I fussy cut the scallop circles from one of the papers and arranged them onto the layout. I've added a few Whimsical embellishments and my photos and then

Live for today

Hi! I'm sharing my first layout for March! I have created a layout with lots of texture and dimension. I used a swan and Live for Today Perspextive from the March Fox Box. To make the background, I used clear gesso to create a base for ink and pastes. I then pushed modeling paste through a stencil which I then coloured by spraying the ink diluted with water. I then layered flowers, papers and die-cuts to create more dimension. It's a good idea to overlap the flowers for more texture. I used more modeling paste, micro beads and glitter to add tiny detail in areas. I hope that I have inspired you. Have a good day!

Ready to Ride | Niki Rowland

Hey Bramble Fox Fans! Niki here today with my latest layout for Bramble Fox. I've used the super-cute bike which will be in the shop in March. I started off by fussy cutting a whole sheet of clouds...they were on a paper by Paige Evans from the Whimsical collection. I cut them all out and then arranged them at the top of my layout in rainbow order. I added rainbow sequins raining down from the clouds in coordinating colours, and I also added a few coordinating word banners. I created my photo cluster at the bottom of the layout with that absolutely gorgeous bike. I added three hearts above the bike's basket, which I turned into 'balloons' by adding strings ad bows. I added a title and embell
