Be our Guest | Wendy Gay

Hey there. Julie and I met lovely Wendy Gay at a recent retreat and we were so impressed by her crafty skills and artwork that we asked her to create some layouts for us. We are thrilled to have her join us this month. My family and I had a fantastic holiday in France a couple of years ago, which included a whistle stop tour of Paris on one of the days. So when I saw the bold Paris perspectives - I had the perfect photo of my daughter and her husband in mind. Once I’d added some effects to the photo, I used the Fox Cut #4 stencil with inks and a fine liner to create a loose Eiffel Tower shape on the background then added hand stitching to give a bit of definition. I set out to make a black

Create Art with Perspextives | Vicki Parker

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with a brand new layout using some brand new Perspextives in store now. I love creating art and so these were pretty much made for me I think! I started by using some mixed media on the background - a mix of Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals and some Shimmerz sprays, then using texture paste with a Fox Cut stencil, I added some texture over the colour as you can see below. The rest of the layout is pretty simple, I added some colour coordinating project life cards under the photo and a premade tag from Paige Evans' Horizon collection with a few other embellishments. The gorgeous Perspextives finished it off perfectly I think. I hope you like it - go check out the

Summer Escapes

Hello again Fox friends, I'm back with a layout for May and looking forward to summer with a layout called Sunny Days! I started by adding my photo just off centre on the right of the base paper, mounted on two pale coloured papers. I love the blue and orange colour combination in this photo so I used it throughout my design. I die cut lots of seaside elements with my Silhouette and arranged them on either side of the photo and added some enamel dots to mimic bubbles - at least I hope they do! I added the place name of the beach on a swag sticker beneath the photo. Then I placed my white Perspextive in the lower left corner over a double cut sunshine die cut to make it stand out a little and

Nepal Adventures

Hello foxy friends! Philippa here sharing my latest 12 x 12 layout documenting more of my daughter's trek in Nepal. The 'adventures' perspextive couldn't have been better! It's available in the store in charcoal, white and mint! I wanted to pick up on the dusty colours of the track in the photo so I painted my background using a combination of matt and pearlescent water colours with added splatters of copper acrylic and a spray of dark mist which I blotted off straight away. I also used a delicate decorative tree stamp. I had some papers from the old Pink Paislee Auburn Lane collection donated by a friend (as if I needed more papers!!) and they fitted perfectly with my colour palette. I adde

Create Art | Morag Cutts

It's always fun playing with new things. I love this new Create Art Perspextive design - I really like the mix of fonts. A layout about a recent crafting trip was the perfect way to use it. I wanted to create a rainbow effect coming from the paint brush stamp. Originally I wanted spashes of paint, but I had tried a couple of things without success so ended up painting with Distress Oxides. It was so much easier than my previous attempts! I layered crepe paper streamers along the edge in matching colours - I love this pretty effect! I used more crepe paper to back the Perspextive - I was originall going to use patterned paper or colour the background with ink but this added great texture and

Sunny & Bright | Niki Rowland

Hey there, Niki here again today with my latest layout for Bramble Fox. I've used the Glitzy & Glamour set in Rose Gold and also added a few hearts in black which are Petite Perspextives. I've used another patterned paper background for this layout...I'm trying to push myself out of my comfort zone. The pink background paper is by Heidi Swapp, Color Fresh collection and the rest of the papers and embellishments are Maggie Holmes Sunny Days. This is a picture of my lovely girly, so the Glitzy & Glamour set went perfectly. I love the rose gold colour, it's so pretty. I've used one crown and the geo heart in the photo / embellishment cluster and I've also used the diamond in the lower cluster.

Hi there, it's Wendy up on the blog today sharing a summer layout inspired by our recent spell of warm weather, I am definitely a summer person and love the warm weather. I started this LO using distress oxide inks, something I've never used before and am quite pleased with the result. The colours are lovely and bright and lift the photos and go perfectly with the perspectives. I used the SUNNY DAYS perspextive from the May FOX BOX, so perfect for these Photos, Crate Paper SUNNY DAYS collection had great selection of embellishments ideal for summer pictures. I then used the yellow distress oxide ink just to high light the Sun perspextive and make it stand out a bit more. i also used Pink F

You Are a Super Hero

Hey, Bramble Fox Friends! I'm back with a boy-themed layout I created for one of my fourth grade students using three pieces from the May Fox Box plus a piece from the Fancy Hearts. I have this Imagine collection by Echo Park with that fun superhero sticker, so that was my starting point. I love using lots of patterns but not in a way to overwhelm the photo, so I like using them with cut files. I used Paper Issues awesome free cut file called Circle Burst. Next, I set out to choose my Perspextives. I knew I was going to use some of the words from the May Fox Box because the colors went well with this collection, and then it dawned on me that I could use the word "here" and just cover the lin

Amigo Memories

Hi there Fox Friends, Julie back with you again today sharing a fun layout using some of the goodies out of the May Fox Box plus a couple of the girls out of the Little People pack. I just love snapchat & the funny photos you can get on there & these photos came from an evening out with my boss & friend Morag. We were at a Mexican restaurant & it was just too funny that these images were on snapchat when we looked & I snapped a couple of photos of us. Morag has also scrapped these images so you'll see those sometime soon. I started by adding some mixed media to my background, using the packaging technique & stencilling over that. I then added some word stamping & the date all over the page.

Boys will be Boys | Niki Rowland

Hi Bramble Fox Friends, Niki here today with my latest layout for Bramble Fox. I've used the fabulous Boys will be Boys Perspextive in turquoise which is available in the store. It's one of the fabulous new Perspextives and it's so perfect for documenting photos of the boys in your life. I've used Simple Stories Oh Happy Day collection for this one and I challenged myself to use patterned paper for my background. I added a large strip of white of course so I had somewhere to put my photos and that fabulous Perspextive. I distressed all the edges of the paper layers and use embellishments from the same collection. The Boys will be Boys Perspextive was about the same size as my three photos, s

Girl Squad!

Hi Kay here sharing a layout today using one of my favourite perspextives, "Living my Best Life" I used Silhouette cut files and the paper collection is from Carta Bella - Pack Your Bags. I also added a lovely arrow with heart perspextive to point to Paris on the map paper. The layout is fairly simple once I had finished backing the cut file and drawing around the edges for a bit of extra detail. I'm sure I will be using this perspextive again soon as its so versatile an could be used for so many different subjects. There are some amazing new designs in the Bramble Fox shop so head on over and check them out! Thanks for stopping by!

I Adore You

Hi Bramble Fox Fans! For my first layout for May, I have made a spring layout. I was inspired by the May Fox Box colours to go with a non-traditional colour scheme. For the background, I mixed red gelato and water which I applied to the background with a plastic wrap. I then stamped randomly to build up some texture. I love the title builder in the May Fox Box. It's great being able to combine the words together or mix them up with your own alphabet letters. I sprinkled my embellishments and star perspextives and splashes of paint. I hope I have inspired you. Steph x

My Kinda People | Niki Rowland

Hey there Foxy Friends, Niki here today with a new layout featuring the 'My Kinda People' title that came in the March Fox Box. Yes I know, I'm a couple of months late using this one, but you know when you are just waiting for the perfect photo to come along? Well that just happened. This photo of us was taken at one of our favourite spots on holiday. We don't often get whole family photos so it was great we managed to snap this one. It's a bonus that everyone is actually looking in the right direction and no one is pulling any awful faces...a rare treat! These guys definitely are 'my kinda people'. I've used Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection for this one. We're away on holiday so the bea
