Awesome Day | Vicki Parker

Hi everyone, it's Vicki today with my final layout using the July Fox Box. I love the frosted perspextives, so I couldn't wait to use this one and as I've been away with my hubby in our camper for a week, I have lots of new photos too! I started with a plain white cardstock background and a piece of Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope paper torn about two thirds down leaving just the blue sky background. I had a background that I'd started for another layout using some texture and Lindy's Magicals but didn't use because it wasn't quite right, so I took the opportunity to punch circles out of it with my circle punches - waste not want not right? I arranged the circles across the page and stuck th

Oh Yeah! | Giselle Homer

Hello Fox friends, here’s my final layout for July using the ‘Oh Yeah’ Perspextive in a deep, rich turquoise colour from July’s Fox Box. This is such a versatile phrase, you can use it with so many scrapbooking themes! I started the layout with this sunburst cut file from the Silhouette store using a pale turquoise cardstock, which tones perfectly with this Perspextive. I found a colour graduated patterned paper which worked well as the backing paper, I love how it looks! I then backed my photo with three different papers which I distressed around the edges. I used three paper tags tucked behind the photo, writing my journalling on the top one and added the ‘Oh Yeah’ Perspextive above the ta

Paradise in Paros!

Hi there Foxy Friends! Today I'm sharing a 12x12 layout featuring my youngest daughter and friends enjoying life on the Greek Island of Paros, lucky girls! The July Fox Box has some great perspextives perfect for documenting summer holidays and days out. I chose OH yeah! I also wanted to use a geo tag and 'smile' from my stash. My background paper is from the Color Fresh collection by Heidi Swapp. I pulled out some ephemera die cuts from the Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope collection as the colours were perfect! My photos are mounted on papers from Simple Stories Sunshine and Blue Skies collection. I'm loving pom pom trim right now and I've got lots of colours in my stash! I often cut away

Summer is Sorted

Summer is in full swing and we have all sorts of designs that will certainly add pizazz to your layouts. So whether you are on staycation or an exotic beach, we have plenty of choices for your scrapping fun. There are new mini New York Favourites designs - smaller versions of the very popular elements from our New York sets. Awesome retro designs (that happen to match the new Simple Stories collections or Paige Taylor Evans Horizon collection). There are matching music Petite Perspextives - how fab will they look on a layout about a party, festival music lessons?! You Rock/So Cool are available in two colourways - Lilac/Pale Pink (shown here) and Charcoal/Turquoise. Super cool! How about som

Awesome Day! J'adore!

Hi Kay here with a layout using some of my favourite perspextives! i just adore these little hearts and the Awesome Day perspextive is great for so many different subject choices. The background is from a paper pad by Vicki Boutin, cheating at mixed media is a win win for me! I added some stamping and a few embellishments to frame my photo. The photo is from a recent break with my crafty friends in Paris, we visited a fantastic craft show which is where i picked up the lovely flair badge and the hearts stamp. I have enjoyed making this layout and recording fond memories with friends. I hope you all have some crafty time this weekend!

Awesome Day!!!

HI there Foxy friends, doesn't time fly? I'm back on the blog and it's mid July and we're half way through Summer! Today I'm using the perspextives AWESOME DAY and OH YEAH from the July Fox Box. It's so good to be able to document amazing days in our lives to always remember them. I do love a bit of mixed media so the first thing I did was mix some of my Shimmerz paints, Bumbly Bee, Ultra Marine and Pink and paint stripes across the page, I then stencilled over the top using Heidi Swapp teal texture paste. I have used Simple Stories Let's Escape and gutted a sheet of paper for the border and then fussy cut the flowers from the centre piece. Ifussy cut two larger flower clusters and used some

Oh Yeah! | Debbi Tehrani

I jumped wholeheartedly into the July Stash Smash challenge, which was to use stamps or rub-ons, because I have a gazillion stamps. I managed to use nine of them on this 8 x 8 layout. And I found the perfect super-fun Perspextive from the July Fox Box to go with this silly photo of my grand-nephew and my brother-in-law. To start my page, I added watercolor ink in turquoise and green to match the papers I wanted to use. I've been dying to use those chickens from a My Mind's Eye patterned paper, and I thought they were a great match for the Perspextive title I wanted to use. I then layered various background stamps over the painted cardstock. After layering up my papers and adding my chickens,

Oh Yeah!

As soon as I saw this perspextive in the July Fox Box I knew it had my name written all over it, it's turquoise, it's fun, it's turquoise, I have a ton of photos to use it for, it's turquoise!!!! Any ideas of my favourite colour to scrap with?? LOL Seriously it could be used on so many layouts but I choose some crazy photos of my eldest child. I don't get many photos from her nowadays but these were in my stash from a few years back & crying out to be used with this perspextive. I first started this layout by adding some mixed media to the background, inks, texture paste & stamps all up the centre section. I then layered all my elements up to form a large rectangle down the middle of the pag

Guest Designer - Emma Trout

We are thrilled to have Emma Trout join us as a guest designer this month. We have been big fans for a very long time. We gave her the July Fox Box to play with and she has certainly delivered two amazing layouts! In today's layout she has used the Fox Cut stencil (#6) to add some detail to her background. I love the way that she adds so much detail using various mediums and stamps. You can see she has outlined the Oh Yeah! design from the July Fox Box as well as the Arrows V2 and Oh My Stars. In her second layout, Emma has gone for a monochromatic theme. Again here detail is amazing - you really need to look to see all the detail. Emma has used acrylic paints on this layout and has coloured

Awesome Day | Niki Rowland

Hey Foxes, Niki here today. For my layout today I'm using the 'Awesome Day' perspextive from the July Fox Box. It's in a turquoise frosted colour and is possibly the most gorgeous colour out of all the Perspextive colours! For this layout I actually followed a challenge by Lime Citron. Their challenge graphic totally inspired me when I saw it and I was itching to play along so I have incorporated all of the criteria into this layout. There was a sketch, a colour scheme and the layout also had to include a watercolour background with stamping, have an acrylic title and have four black & white photos. I started off by creating the green water colour background. I used five different shades o

July Stash Smash

We had a fabulous response to June's Stash Smash challenge. So we are hoping we are on a roll with this month's challenge. Stamps are brilliant for adding texture, detail or feature to a project. They are a great investment and so versatile. So this month, we are challenging you to get out your stamps - may be you can dust off some stamps you've not used for a long time. Here's some inspiration from the team... Julie Taylor (queen of mixed media), has certainly put her stamps to good use on this awesome layout of New York. Look at all that detail! She has used the Go Global and Arrows V2 sets on her layout. Morag has also created a travel layout of New York using some new products coming to
