Awesome Places

Hi everyone! it's Wendy here and I'm on the blog today sharing a layout using the gorgeous September Foxbox Awesome perspextive and the new Travel Globes. I have used Simple Stories Safe Travels Collection.

I started my layout with some mixed media using distress oxides to make a background and then some white splatters on top, which co ordinated with the paper collection and also the tones in my photo. As soon as I saw the travel globes I knew my layout would contain these and then I decided to combine the Awesome perspextive with the Places persepxtive from the Globes collection.

I matted the photo using a paper from the collection and made it the main feature of the page. I then added the Awesome Places to the bottom right, and added some stickers just behind the perspextives. I also added the open top car sticker raised on sticky fixers for dimension, this corodinated perfectly and also Puerto Banus is full of open top cars!

Then I made a small cluster to the bottom left of the photo using some of the ephemera and added the globe travel perspextive over the top. Having not travelled anywhere for 18 months due to Covid restrictions it was such a joy to get away to Spain and i wanted to document it immediately.

I then added the Summer globe to the other corner of the photo and a sticker behind it, with an older geo tag on top.

I added a narrow strip with a torn edge to the right hand side of the page as I had slightly more white space there I felt it even up the overall look of the layout! Finally I used thickers to add the name Puerto Banus which is the town we were visiting as a secondary title but felt it completed the layout.

I hope this has given you some inspiration and that we will soon see more travel layouts from recent times again.
