Let's Go | Vicki Parker

Hi Foxy friends, it's Vicki here today with my latest layout using Perspextives from the July FoxBox. There is so much in that little box that I wanted to use two on this layout - Let's Go and Good Vibes! I started by applying a layer of clear gesso over the white cardstock before I started some mixed media. Using the FoxCut stencil which you can find in the store here, I covered the area which I knew would contain my grid layout. When it was dry, I added some sprays in yellow and pink (which made orange). Then I started to build the layout using some pocket life cards from my recent Hip Kit Club July kit and some Paige Evans Whimsical flowers from my stash. I finished by adding the Perspext

Globe Trotter | Giselle Homer

Hi Fox Friends, I hope you're getting lots of time to scrap during the summer holidays. Talking of which, how fab is this new 'Globe Trotter' Perspextive for your holiday pages? You can leave it plain, or back the word 'globe' with cardstock or patterned paper and I think it's very striking in black! I started this layout by stencilling a few flowery shapes on the base but showing only half of the design as I didn't want it to be girly! I also splattered paint in the same colour. I backed the photo with a mixture of cardstock pieces and tags, then I embellished them with enamel dots and puffy stickers. I chose to back 'Globe' in a deep yellow to make it really stand out on the page & to pick

Escape the ordinary!

Hi Foxy friends! I've loved using the August Fox Box! My youngest daughter has had an amazing summer, making so many great memories and exploring new places, lucky girl! The make great memories perspextive was perfect for my layout! I love a bit of mixed media so I started by adding acrylic paint to my white cardstock using the bag technique. I stamped on top of the paint once dry, using Distress Oxide inks with a compass and postcard stamp. I had some of the Vicki Boutin Colour Kaleidoscope papers on my desk and the colours went really well with the background I'd created! I chose to use three photographs of my daughter and her friends in full on holiday mode in Greece and Croatia. I knew I

Rocking Summer

Hi Fox Friends. I hope you are having a great summer despite the odd weather in the UK. I was at a local music festival in June - my first one. It was great and there were plenty of photo opportunities - the best news for a scrapper. I've used some of my favourite pieces from this summer - You Rock/So Cool - is a fab title. I'm not normally a purple scrapper, but I had to make an exception for this one and I love it! I experimented with my background using watercolours which spread with lots of water. I then layered up on the colour using a Fox Cut stencil #7 and stamps. I added more texture with some ephemera including a zip - I'm still trying to use up my stash! I love the awesome stickers

Jet Setter

Hi Foxy Friends, It's Wendy here on the blog today sharing another travel LO using the gorgeous August Fox Box perspectives "Jet Setter" and Let's Go!". So perfect for me As I've just been on holiday. I decided to use a globe cut file as my main theme as it just lends itself these perspextives, I gave it a light watercolour using Shimmerz "It's Mint to be" Paint to tone with the Jet Setter perspextive. I added the letter round the edge using the words from the song Whoa I'm Going to Barbados! I was so excited we were going for our Silver wedding and it was very last minute confirmation as my husband had been very sick and we were unsure if he could fly. I then found in my stash this piece

Let's Go Enjoy the Journey | Debbi Tehrani

The August Fox Box is just packed with so many awesome Perspextive embellishments perfect for documenting a journey, and since I haven't done a whole lot of traveling lately, I decided to use them to document a breakthrough in my weight-loss journey. The yellow of these Perspextives is such a pretty color, and I thought it went really well with this new Pinkfresh Studio collection called Office Hours. The "Enjoy" word comes in a pack with another word, "Journey," so you can use them together for a title or use them separately as I have done. I added some sweet yellow hearts to go with the "Let's Go!" title. There are several different heart packs, and I've bought them all so that I can use t

Make Great Memories

Have you seen the August Fox Box?? It was one of my favourite so far & had so many possibilities. It was mainly a travel themed pack but I saw the Make Great Memories as a crafting title, as that's what we do, right? Make Great Memories with this art of creating scrapbook layouts, memories for years to come & to look back upon. I started this layout with a sheet of white cardstock & added texture paste & oxide inks, in lots of colours, down the middle section & added some black stamping. I die cut the numbers on my silhouette & coloured them using oxide inks, blending the colours together, & did an offset cut for the black outline & added that down the centre. My purpose of this was to state

Jet Setter | Niki Rowland

Hey there, it's Niki here today with a new layout using the August Fox Box. The August Fox box has lots of travel related Perspextives in it, and we are always going on holiday so this was perfect for me. I have used two sheets of Paige Evans Horizon collection papers - one with planes all over it and one with suitcases all over it. I have this fabulous photo of my family walking towards the plane all pulling their suitcases (I can't wait until the baby is big enough to walk and pull one too) and I'd been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use all these...then the August Fox Box landed! So I've used the planes paper for my border. I kept it wide so the planes could still be seen. I then

Pack Your Bags!

Hi Kay here! I’m loving the Perspextives in the August Foxbox! My layout is showing fond memories of a wonderful trip to Paris earlier on this year. Myself and my scrapbooking buddies were going to a fantastic craft show, the photo on the left shows our bags all lined up ready to go! The “Let’s Go” and “Pack Your Bags” Perspextives were absolutely perfect for my layout! I have used mostly bits and pieces from the Lets Travel collection by Carta Bella and the background is from Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope Mixed Media Pad with a few splatters of Distress Oxide Inks added and some texture paste. How cute is that little suitcase?! I hope you all are having a good summer, see you soon with more fro

Guest | Amy Kattenbelt

We spotted Amy Kattenbelt in a Bramble Fox Stash Smash. We love her bright and unique style. Using the August Fox Box Amy has created a very unique layout about one of her travels. Amy shares her creation process with us.. I created the layout first by using watercolour paints on the background in 3 colours, and when that was dry I used the Bramble Fox stencil with Distress Oxides to add more interest. Next, I added black stamping, black and white pen details and black ink splatter to give more detail. I had some Dutch and UK stamps in matching colours which I dotted around my photo. To finish the background I did a sketchy doodled border using 3 different thicknesses of pens. To finish the

Lucky Subscribers

Hi Fox friends! Subscribers of the Fox Box receive an exclusive design free each quarter. They are a thank you from us to you for being a loyal subscriber. But what do you do with yours? The 6th gift is awesome and perfect for a layout about crafting. Julie Taylor and I have created Crafty Vixens - holding lovely crafty workshops in the West Midlands. When we are together we always have fun and when we teach, we know how to help each other to get the most out of a class. Our styles differ greatly - Julie is definitely the queen of mixed media whilst I favour papers and layers. We both love detail though! I am currently on a mission to use up stuff. I have a lot of stuff so it needs to be us
