Amazing Views: A 6-Photo Travel Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

There’s something magical about strolling through cobbled streets and soaking in centuries of history with someone you love. This layout captures one of those unforgettable days that I scrapped for my friends, and the July Fox Box brings that story to life with texture, color, and charm. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.

Like any great map, a sketch from the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook group helped guide the direction of my layout, giving me a clear path for layering photos, accents, and storytelling details. As you can see, I flipped the sketch and placed the title in a different spot.

The "Amazing Views" title Perspextive is the perfect sentiment for this page, spotlighting the breathtaking scenery and joyful moments we captured. I backed it with a neutral tag made from an old 7 gypsies paper that has a perfect old-world feel.

To set the tone, I first created a background, using the Brick Wall Stencil #49 with Antique Linen Distress Ink, mimicking the cobblestone and architecture from the photos and giving the page that worn, time-loved feel. I placed the blue chevron arrow Perspextives from my stash near the photo strip to help guide the eye across the page—they coordinate beautifully with the heart geotag and the “Amazing Views” title, creating a visual triangle.

One of my favorite elements in the Fox Box is the wooden window, which adds the feel of peeking into a storybook moment. I filled the panes with an extra photo from my friends' visit to Dubrovnik. I love how the shape of the window echoes the windows in the photo.

Just to the left of the window, a chunky red arrow-shaped 7gypsies photo turn marks the start of the journey, pointing toward the vintage-style tickets from the Paper Snips in the Fox Box Plus. I tucked a black distressed filmstrip border, created with Fox Dies #20, behind the vintage script paper (also by 7gypsies) to create an old-world feel and coordinate with the black word strips I used from the Vintage Sentiments Paper Snips 055. The black elements provide a striking contrast against the softer neutrals while forming a visual triangle.

Bramble Fox’s metal dies were key to bringing extra dimension: the black filmstrip border and red view master reels create a strong visual foundation and introduce a sense of movement around the photos. The pops of bold red create another visual triangle and coordinate with the Air Mail Paper Snips (also in the Fox Box Plus).

I placed a blue geotag heart from my stash near one of the photos—a signature touch I always include on layouts I give away—and the torn paper adds a tactile, casual feel that brings warmth, texture, and an old-world feel to the design.

The bookplate phrase from the Paper Snips adds a charming vintage vibe, and I enhanced it with metallic brads to give the look of real, functional fasteners.

From the striped red borders to the sky blue Perspextives to the vintage ephemera, every detail was chosen to echo the charm and richness of my friends' experience.
