A Night to Remember Scrapbook Layout – Celebrating My 60th Birthday - Wendy Meffan

Turning 60 was definitely a milestone worth celebrating, and what better way to remember such a special occasion than with a scrapbook layout! I wanted to capture some of the fun and atmosphere of my birthday party, and the November Fox Box perspextive 'A Night to Remember ' was the perfect perspextive title for my page .

 I love how a statement title can set the scene for a layout, and this one summed up the occasion beautifully. To add to the celebratory feel, I also included the champagne bottle and glasses perspectives from the September products. These were just right for a birthday party layout and worked so well alongside my title.

For my papers and embellishments, I chose the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Junk Drawer Collection. The colour palette was absolutely perfect for my photographs and gave the whole page a lovely, coordinated feel.

I decided to use a selection of tags from the collection, arranging them vertically down the page to create an interesting design with lots of lovely layers. I distressed all the edges of my embellishments and inked them with 49 and Market capuccino ink. I then threaded waxed string through the tags and positioned my photograph at the bottom, allowing it to anchor the arrangement and bring the whole layout together. I attached the title persepxtive to the right of my photo.

One of my favourite details is the large piece of bunting from the actual party decorations. I love being able to incorporate real keepsakes into my scrapbooking, as they make the page even more personal. I also added the acrylic “Wendy” from my birthday cake, along with some of the table confetti from the celebrations. These little details bring back so many memories and make the layout truly unique to me.

I really enjoyed combining the Fox Box perspextives with the Simple Stories collection and these special party keepsakes. Everything came together beautifully to create a page that celebrates not just my 60th birthday, but all the happiness and memories surrounding it.

Finally i added a border rfom the patterened paper and sewed around the edge of it on the white cardstock.
