There’s something wonderfully magical about autumn days spent pumpkin picking, and Paula @PD1505 has created this scrapbook layout

all about capturing the fun, colour and family memories of a special pumpkin-filled adventure. 🎃🍂

With photographs full of pumpkins, wheelbarrows, muddy fields, happy faces and lots of seasonal fun, this layout was the perfect excuse to create a bright and colourful autumn scrapbook page.

Celebrating Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking has become such a lovely autumn tradition, and I wanted this layout to capture all those little moments that make the experience so memorable.

From choosing the perfect pumpkins to exploring the pumpkin patch, collecting them in the wheelbarrow and, of course, carving them afterwards, these photographs tell the whole story.

The six-photo grid makes it easy to showcase lots of photographs on one page while keeping the layout organised and giving each memory its own space.

🍁 Creating the Autumn Background

I chose a warm autumn colour palette of pumpkin orange, golden yellow, olive green, red and earthy brown.

Behind the photographs, I created a mixed-media background using watercolour-style splashes and paint effects. The combination of orange and yellow is perfect for an autumn scrapbook layout, while the touches of green help balance the warmer colours.

I also used torn and layered patterned papers behind the photographs to add texture and create a lovely collage-style scrapbook design.

🎃 Bringing in the Pumpkin Details

The pumpkin embellishments are definitely one of my favourite parts of this page!

I layered pumpkins in different colours and sizes around the photograph block, creating a fun embellishment cluster that draws the eye into the photographs. The leaves add another layer of texture and help connect the embellishments with the autumn theme.

I love how these little details make the page feel playful and seasonal without taking attention away from the photographs.

🦊 Adding Bramble Fox to the Layout

Of course, no Bramble Fox Design Team layout would be complete without some fabulous Bramble Fox embellishments!

The large green “Pumpkin Picking ” Perspextive makes a fantastic statement title and adds plenty of dimension to the page. I positioned it vertically alongside the photographs, which gives the layout a slightly different and unexpected design.

The smaller Bramble Fox pieces, including “Hey, Pumpkin”, “Togetherness”, “Give Thanks”, “Love This Moment” and “Beautiful Day”, add those little finishing touches that help tell the story.

I particularly love mixing statement Perspectives with smaller words and phrases. It creates layers of interest and makes it easy to add both the main story and little thoughts around the photographs.

📸 Making Memories Through Scrapbooking

For me, scrapbooking is all about preserving the moments that make us smile.

This pumpkin picking scrapbook layout captures much more than a collection of photographs. It records a fun autumn day, the excitement of choosing pumpkins and those little family moments that might otherwise be forgotten.

Using photographs, patterned papers, mixed media and Bramble Fox embellishments allows me to turn those memories into something tangible that can be enjoyed for years to come.
