A Night to Remember | Julie Taylor

Sometimes the best nights are the ones you don’t plan on being particularly memorable… but somehow they turn into exactly that! When some friends came up from London to visit, we decided an evening out in the city was definitely in order. We booked a lovely Thai meal, followed by drinks and a little dancing, and let’s just say it turned into A Night to Remember!

For this layout I couldn’t resist using the gorgeous A Night to Remember Perspextive title, out the November Fox Box. It was the perfect fit for these photos and summed up the evening beautifully.

I started with a sheet of white cardstock and used the fabulous new stencil from the November Fox Box Plus to add some colour and interest to the background. I kept the stencilling fairly subtle, adding just enough of a pop of colour to bring the page to life without taking away from the rest of the design.

I then created a central column using patterned papers, tearing the bottom edge for a little extra texture and movement. I layered some additional patterned paper pieces, along with a few trims, which helped to build up the texture and give the page plenty of dimension.

My photo sits at the top of the central design, surrounded by lots of fun little embellishments. Arrows, stars and word strips help to draw the eye towards the photo while adding to that fun, celebratory feel.

One of my favourite details has to be the little wooden beer tankard! As we finished our evening in a fabulous Bavarian-themed bar, it was absolutely perfect for this page and tied in brilliantly with the theme of the night.

It’s always lovely when a simple evening with friends turns into one that you know you’ll be talking about for years to come. This page captures all those fun memories in one place & was definitely a night to remember!!
