Fun Ahoy | Debbi Tehrani

Ahoy, Mateys! I'm here today to share a fun nautical-themed page using elements from the gorgeous new Sea Life collection as well as a number of other Bramble Fox products.

Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products look a bit larger on my layouts.

I found a free ship wheel cut file to serve as a starting point to my layout. Before I started building my page, I created my background, first using the packaging technique to apply two shades of blue watercolor. Once that was dry, I used the triangle side of the Fox Cut #6 stencil, along with texture paste mixed with white acrylic paint. I thought the triangles might mimic wave crests, and once they were on the background, I thought they kind of looked like sailboats too!

The "Adventure" compass is from the beautiful Paper Snips 002 embellishments, as are the words and phrases. You can see also some Perspextives I added to my embellishment clusters in this picture, the geotag from the Travel Icons pack and a beautiful matte navy blue heart that matches my title from the Hearts Special Edition. (I always add hearts to the pages I give away, and the kids have fun looking for them.)

I know I've said it before--I just love how Bramble Fox mixes two beautiful fonts together to make their titles, and the "Fun Ahoy" from the Little Urchin set is such a beautiful navy blue color in a matte finish.

How adorable is this Narwhal, fussy cut from the Paper Snips 002. I had fun digging through my stash to find papers and embellishments with a nautical theme.

And the whale is from the same Paper Snips. Morag sure made a big splash with these designs!

At the last minute, I remembered the seagulls I had from the Flock of Seagulls pack, which coordinate perfectly with this year's Sea Life collection. After all of my elements were placed, I splattered my page with watered-down white gesso to look like sea spray and then added some clear Nuvo Drops to look like water droplets.

I've had so much fun working with the new Sea Life collection. You can see my other page using this collection here. I can't wait to see what you make with these delightful products! Please be sure to tag us on Instagram using #bramblefox and also share your creations in the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook group. We love seeing your work with Bramble Fox products. Until next time, happy scrapping!
