Jet Setter
Hi Foxy Friends, It's Wendy here on the blog today sharing another travel LO using the gorgeous August Fox Box perspectives "Jet Setter" and Let's Go!". So perfect for me As I've just been on holiday. I decided to use a globe cut file as my main theme as it just lends itself these perspextives, I gave it a light watercolour using Shimmerz "It's Mint to be" Paint to tone with the Jet Setter perspextive.
I added the letter round the edge using the words from the song Whoa I'm Going to Barbados! I was so excited we were going for our Silver wedding and it was very last minute confirmation as my husband had been very sick and we were unsure if he could fly.
I then found in my stash this piece of Amy Tangerine pineapple paper from the On a Whim collection and another piece from Sunshine and Good Times which gave a real tropical feel to the LO, I tore the edges to give a bit of texture.
I added the main Jet Setter perspective title having backed the jet to make it stand out a bit more and then found the Hello Summer banner from the July Hip Kit which worked well at the top of the globe . As I had yellow in the backing paper the Let's Go lent itself to being placed over the top of the banner.
To mark out where Barbados was I painted a small map of the island in its flag and positioned it vaguely below Miami . I then remembered the mini perspectives and added the plane at London and the Geotag and put some bakers twine between as the flight path.
I printed my pictures small as I wanted four on the LO but didn't want to cover the globe.
I added some more mini perspectives including hearts and palm trees and then made a cluster beside the jet setter title with the suit case from the fox box. I also used Jen Hadfield's Chasing adventures collection with the puffy stickers and layered stickers.
I have a real love of travel and also all the travel collections and this LO came together gradually as i waded through old and new stuff. I'm really pleased with and hope it has inspired you to get scrapping those holiday photos and use up your kit!
Happy holidays and happy summer
till next time !
Cheers
Wendy xxx
