Scrapbook Layout with Fussy Cutting by Rebecca Meadows
Fussy cutting on a scrapbook layout really enhances the desiagn and elevates the page. I used the title 'Life is Good' which you can find in the Bramble Fox Shop and I have used new items from the shop.
I began my layout by working on the background.
I used Tim Holtz, Saltwater Taffy ink and lightly inked through Stencil #66, the grid. Then with the same ink, I inked through stencil, #6, plus and triangles.
I outlined the ‘plus signs’ with a pencil to make them stand out more.
I cut and layered three pieces of patterned paper. I laid these horizontally across my layout and used a fine liner pen to doodle around the outer edges as this gives each paper a bit of separation from each other.
I backed my photo in white cardstock and laid that over the top.
I spent quite a while fussycutting flowers. Some of the flowers are from Cocoa vanilla -happy days collection. I also mixed in some flowers from paper snips 035. These Snips are part of the Days Out Collection.
I tucked the flowers in and around the photo following the line of stencilling in the background.
I added my title “life is good” And added some travel wordfetti as journalling.
My layout needed a little bit of balance at the bottom, so I added some small flowers and a butterfly. I feel this brings it all together.
To finish, I added plus signs (office elements) throughout my layout in pink and white, also a small pink Geo tag overlapping the photo.
Thank you for reading about my layout.
Please take a look at the new items in the shop.
We also have the Lovin’ Summer Kit and the Days Out collection available. These are both great value!
