Summer Adventures | Jena Leach

Hi everyone! It's Jena here, I'm thrilled to be sharing my first layout as part of the Challenge Team, and what better way to kick start these challenges than with the fabulous tic-tac-toe challenge! I love all the options included in the grid, and by accident I ended up ticking eight of the nine boxes! Oops!

Initially I planned to use stitching, circles and fussy cutting. I started off by using a pie chart cutfile from Paige Evans, which I cut 3 times. I backed the cutfiles with papers from the Vicki Boutin 'Color Study' collection. I then pulled out some stamps from Color Study, and stamped onto my background using some Distress Oxide Inks in the shades 'milled lavendar' and 'speckled egg'.

I pulled out some embellishments from the collection, including a pretty tag which I added a metal eyelet and ribbon to. I fussy cut some circles from one of the papers in the collection, as well as some confetti shapes. I also added a few chipboard and ephemera pieces. A couple strips of paper added to both the top and bottom of the page, adhered with a little machine stitching helped to add a little more colour to the layout!

I used the gorgeous 'Summer Adventures' perspextive in the centre of my page (I just love the colour, it matches my colour scheme perfectly!), and of course added some sequins in coordinating colours for a finishing touch!
