Summer Vibes Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani
Summer's almost here, and the June Fox Box is perfect for scrapbooking all things summer! I used the "Summer Vibes" title Perspextive, the stencil, a pair of roller skates, and the Paper Snips from the June Fox Box Plus, along with a few other Bramble Fox products. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products look a bit larger on my layouts.
How awesome is the font on the title Perspextives in this Fox Box? The color of this title piece perfectly complements Simple Stories' Retro Summer collection. I added a sweet little matching heart from the Essential Hearts|Spring Pack (because I always add hearts to the layouts I give away). I started my layout by creating an awesome sunny background with the super-cool distressed sunburst stencil that comes in the Fox Box Plus. Zig-zag stitching with yellow thread added some interest and texture.
I adhered a wide strip of the pink polka dot paper to the left and then stitched a mint grid piece on top, followed by a cherry-red filmstrip made from the Film Strip Fox Dies #14 (I pieced together two to make it longer).
From there, I mounted the photo on top of a tag and started embellishing, using some die cuts from the Retro Summer Collection, some Paper Snips from the Fox Box Plus, and some other bits and pieces from my stash. The circular element with the cherries is from the Paper Snips, and adding an Epoxy Sticker (5 of which are included in the Fox Box Plus) to make it into a flair. Want to know how I got that clean, professional cut on the tab and circle? I used the Paper Snips Labels Fox Dies #16, which is an essential tool if you like to use the Paper Snips. Adding things like twine, charms, and word strips can customize and add texture and interest to a flat die cut.
On the right side of my layout, I added a thin strip of the pink polka dot paper along with a colorful striped pattern to coordinate with all the colors on the other side of the page. To give the umbrella some lift, I adhered it with adhesive foam.
I created a cluster on the bottom right so I could use those adorable roller skates that match the title Perspextive. How thoughtful that Bramble Fox added those holes so I could lace them up with some cherry twine! The "Good Times" tab is from the Paper Snips, and I added a cherry chevron from a Bramble Fox Die. The cool film strip border above the label was made with Fox Dies #20. This is a must-have die, so grab it while you can!
I hope I've given you some summery inspiration for this Fox Box. I'm telling you, the June Fox Box just screams "summer" and "fun." You'll definitely want this box, which ships on June 4, so be sure to subscribe now. Here's a look at all the goodies in this kit:
