Sweet Valentine Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Terhani

If you're looking for the perfect scrapbooking challenge this month, Bramble Fox's challenge is to add hearts to your layout. I incorporated LOTS of hearts on this sweet layout by pairing some of the fabulous new Valentine's Day embellishments with Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection, plus a handful of other Bramble Fox goodies. (Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.)

If you know me, you know I love a scrapbook challenge, so I challenged myself to use as many hearts as I could on my layout (I counted at least 37--there are more, from the stencil, but many are covered up). My first heart was this gorgeous title Perspextive from the Love Much pack, which includes two beautiful title pieces. You can see in this photo some more hearts in the classic Bramble Fox mint color from the XOXO pack, which is a must-have for Valentine pages.

I built my layout design on three tags from the Happy Hearts collection and dangled some heart elements from crinkled pink ribbon that matched the title. I just love the gourd-shaped Pins from the Bramble Fox Bazaar--such a unique shape! Before adhering the tags, I used my favorite Sunburst Fox Cut Stencil #17 and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides to create a pretty background. The phrase strips and token ticket are from Paper Snips 018 | Love, another must-have Valentine product.

I adorned the bottom of my layout with cakes and candy hearts and other embellishments that I cut out of a sheet of paper from a Happy Hearts paper, adhering some of them with pop dots for extra dimension. Before adhering them, I used a second Bramble Fox stencil, Hearts Fox Cut Stencil #14, along with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxides, which is a perfect match with the Bramble Fox mint. The Blending Brushes in the shop are ideal for adding small detailed stenciling. I outlined the stenciling with a fine-tip pen to make it stand out. I added some mint xo's from the XOXO pack to the cakes. The beautiful translucent red heart is also from the XOXO pack. The tab on the side of the photo is the other half of the token ticket decorating the top of the other photo.

Here's a cake on the other side of the page with another XO. How cute is this one with the heart-shaped O? I really wanted to mat my layout on that striped paper, but I had used it on another layout and only had a 4-inch piece left, so I just cut the paper in strips and pieced it together as a frame and stitched it down the edges.

I found some more hearts to use for the challenge in the XOXO pack--the heart-shaped cherries--seriously, how cute is this piece? I just adore the translucent Perspextives!

I always leave my layout overnight before calling it done, and when I gave my layout one last look, it just needed more red, so I scattered red Nuvo drops throughout my page.

I hope I've inspired you to scrap some of your Valentine pictures. Even if you don't celebrate this holiday of love, these products are perfect for any photos of people you love. And I hope I've inspired you to participate in the February challenge.

To take part, upload your layout to post on Bramble Fox Friends on Facebook before the end of February. We will pick one lucky winner who will be awarded a £15 store credit.
