365 Daily Grind | Julie Taylor

Hi Foxy friends, Julie back with you again today. Have you seen that Bramble fox are now doing stamps & dies!!!! I just LOVE them & couldn't wait to get creating with some of them.

I started out this layout stamping onto some white cardstock, coated in gesso, with the 365 from the Fox stamps #1. It stamped really lovely & crisp but I wanted it to have a more mixed media look & I'd seen Missy Whidden do this technique by adding water to the stamping. Because of the gesso the ink bleeds & it takes on a look of watercolour, which I love.

I was going to use this as a full piece but changed my mind, so I cut it down & just added it at the top of my page, adding in a few ripped pieces of paper underneath. I matted my 3 photos & raised them, on foam tape, to the left, adding a cut from Fox dies #3 at the top of the photo cluster.

I did a bit more stamping, around the page, using the same stamp set.

I think this may become a well used stamp set as it lends itself to many occasions & just daily events in general.

I used the 365, out the September Fox Box, as part of my title & backed it with some patterned papers & drew the eye down to the bottom of the page by adding some bits of ephemera & another ripped piece of my made background on the bottom edge.

Thanks for joining me today & check in the store for new goodies being added!!!

Until next time,
