Create a stunning tropical scrapbook page to document your summer memories and showcase a favourite photo.

Stencils are a wonderful, versatile tool that can help add a unique feature to your layouts. In the August Fox Box+, you'll find an easy to use tropical background stencil as well as stunning titles and elements.

To create a unique background, I used a mini brayer and diluted inks over the centre of white cardstock. To add a little drama, I dipped an old store card into black acrylic paint to create random horizontal black lines. It's a really simple way to add variety to your pages.

Stencil #122 has different leaves and flowers that can be used to make a stunning background, layered to add interest or frame a photo as I have done. Using vibrant green and coral inks, I overlap individual elements allowing the colours below to show through. Outline with a light grey fineline pen to help with definition.

Paper Snips #79 is filled with easy to cut out summer elements. I mixed these in with die-cuts and chipboard from various collections to create an eye-catching cluster.

Gauze bandage is light and airy and can be purchased readily from a pharmacy. Pulling the fibres apart and layering below the photo adds more texture without any weight. The stunning Sun Kissed title epitomises a summer's day!

I couldn't resist the pretty crab Perspextive to draw the eye across the cluster although I could have added all the sweet elements!
