Bring a little sunshine to your craft room with this colorful beach scrapbook layout featuring Bramble Fox Perspextives and stencils, layered embellishments, and playful summer details. I created this page to document my friend's fun day at the beach using the fabulous August Fox Box Plus, pairing the Fun in the Sun Perspextive title, speech bubbles, Paper Snips, and stencil with the cheerful Just Beachy collection from Simple Stories. The bright colors, layered textures, and dimensional acrylic accents work together to capture the carefree feeling of a perfect summer day. And because I scrapbook in an 8 × 8 format, Bramble Fox products look a little larger on my pages, making them wonderful focal points for my designs.

Let the Sunshine In
The Fun in the Sun Perspextive is definitely the star of this layout! The playful font instantly sets a carefree summer mood, so I designed my page around it. I began by creating a bright sunburst background with an older Bramble Fox stencil (there's another sunburst stencil currently available in the shop as well). To add even more texture, I added stitching to a few of the sunrays. Next, I stitched strips of colorful Just Beachy patterned papers along the left side of the page before building the rest of my layout.
One thing I love about a sunburst design is how naturally it draws your eye toward the focal point. In this case, everything leads right to the title and photos before your eye begins exploring all the fun little details around the page.
💡 Debbi's Design Tip: Stitching doesn't have to be complicated to make an impact. Even a few simple straight lines can add texture, definition, and a handmade touch that patterned paper alone can't provide.

A Tiny Tropical Escape
One of my favorite little scenes on this page is tucked into the bottom right corner. I wanted this cluster to echo the colors and tropical feel from the left side of the layout while adding another fun destination for your eye to discover. The palm tree, beach hut, starfish, and cheerful little crab create a playful seaside scene that perfectly complements the photos.
The speech bubbles included in the August Fox Box Plus are another favorite feature of this kit. They're such a fun way to add little sentiments without taking attention away from the photos, and I especially love the beautiful etched cursive messages.
💡 Debbi's Design Tip: When building clusters, think of them as tiny scenes instead of random embellishments. Choosing pieces that tell a little story makes your layout feel more cohesive and gives viewers something new to notice every time they look at it.

Layers That Make You Look Twice
Here’s a peek at the bottom left cluster of my layout, where I added a happy orange speech bubble placed right above the adorable octopus. I love how it looks like the octopus is having a little conversation — almost like it’s saying, “Happy Days!” This tiny detail adds a playful bit of storytelling to the page.
And of course, I had to add a heart! I always add hearts to the layouts I give away because they’re a little signature touch that adds a bit of love to every page. The aqua heart from the Cool Hearts pack also helps create a visual triangle with the other aqua Perspextives on the layout, helping your eye move around the page.
💡Debbi’s Design Tip: Layering embellishments instead of placing them side by side creates depth and makes each cluster feel more intentional. Even small acrylic accents can have a big impact when they’re repeated throughout a layout. Look for opportunities to repeat colors, shapes, or textures to create a layout that feels connected and balanced.

The "Almost Finished" Moment
One of my favorite things about the August Fox Box Plus kit is discovering unexpected ways to use the pieces beyond their original purpose! For these sweet little flowers, I used the lemon stencil included in the kit. Instead of stenciling the entire lemon shape, I focused only on the flower portion, then fussy cut each one to create my own custom embellishments.
I added tiny brads to the centers of the flowers for a fun pop of dimension and a little extra detail. Sometimes it’s those small finishing touches that bring an element to life!
💡Debbi’s Design Tip: One of my favorite tips is to leave your layout overnight and come back to it the next day with fresh eyes. You’ll often notice little things you might want to tweak or add. In this case, I felt like the flowers needed just a bit more personality, and those tiny colorful brads were the perfect finishing touch!

A Cluster Full of Sunshine and Smiles
Here’s a closer look at the top cluster, which is mostly made from die cuts and a sticker from the Just Beachy collection, along with a few flowers created using the kit stencil. I love how these little details add so much texture and interest while still keeping the focus on the photo.
The word strips are from the Paper Snips included in the kit, and they were the perfect little finishing touches to add extra pops of color and storytelling throughout the layout.
💡Debbi’s Design Tip: When creating a cluster, don’t be afraid to mix different types of embellishments! Combining die cuts, stenciled pieces, acrylic accents, tags, twine, metal charms, and word strips creates layers of texture and interest and gives your eye lots of little details to discover.

Hidden in Plain Sight
Here’s one more detail I added after leaving my layout overnight. I wanted to add a little more interest to the sun rays besides the stitching, and I thought of adding some stenciled flowers in yellow floating across some of the rays.
Because the flowers are the same color as the rays, they add texture and dimension while still keeping the bright, sunny feel of the design. They create a subtle layer that you notice when you look closer, almost like a little hidden surprise on the page.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: When you have a large open area on your layout, try adding tone-on-tone details. Using the same color in slightly different textures or patterns adds depth and interest without competing with your photos or main design elements.

Thanks for Stopping By!
I hope this beach scrapbook layout has inspired you to pull out your favorite summer photos and start creating! Whether you're reaching for bold Perspextives, layering Paper Snips, or adding just the right finishing touch, remember that the little details are often what make a layout uniquely yours.
Thanks so much for spending a little creative time with me today. I can't wait to see how you use the August Fox Box Plus in your own projects!
Until next time, keep your toes sandy, your heart happy, and your creativity flowing like ocean waves...
