Creating this layout was such a satisfying process, starting with a simple foundation and gradually building up layers of texture and detail. I first cut the white cardstock down slightly and rounded off the corners to soften the overall look. Mounting it onto the bright, spotted paper instantly gave the page a playful feel, and sewing around the edge added that extra handmade touch that I always love.

The white cardstock felt a little too stark on its own, so I introduced some subtle background stamping. This step really helped to break up the space and add depth without overwhelming the design. From there, I began building my clusters, working from the top of the page downward. I focused on keeping everything fairly central, but with a gentle flow that weaves from the top left to the bottom right. This movement helps guide the eye naturally through the layout.

I had so much fun incorporating all the ephemera pieces—layering them, tucking bits in, and creating dimension. Each piece adds its own personality while still contributing to a cohesive design. One of my favourite details is the “heart this" perspextive which I placed at the bottom of the top photo. Pairing it with a smile foam sticker adds a cheerful, lighthearted touch.

To finish off the title, I included a beautiful wood heart from the May Fox Box. It features the same phrase, tying everything together perfectly. This final detail adds both texture and emphasis, making the sentiment stand out in such a meaningful way.

Overall, this layout feels bright, balanced, and full of character—exactly what I was hoping to capture.
Thanks for joining me today.
Until next time,
