Fall is in full swing, and my layout captures that golden, sweater-weather feeling perfectly! I used the “Sweater Season” title from the Autumn Splendor pack and paired it with the charming acorn branch Perspextives from Forest Friends. For the background, I used the distress harlequin stencil and some Paper Snips from the November Fox Box Plus. I also sprinkled in other Bramble Fox products to create that layered, textured fall look I can’t get enough of. There’s such a beautiful autumn vibe in this month’s Fox Box — the colors, the shapes, the sentiments — everything works together perfectly for sweater weather stories! Please note that I create 8x8 layouts, so the Bramble Fox products often appear a bit larger on my pages — which makes them perfect for creating a bold focal point and showing off all the beautiful details.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: When I’m working on a seasonal page, I like to mix materials and textures — Perspextives, fussy-cut paper pieces, metals, and a bit of stenciling. Layering these elements gives my layout that cozy, dimensional feel that reminds me of fall.

Sweater Weather Style
The stacked “Sweater Season” title is a showstopper. I love how it combines two fonts — one playful, one elegant — in warm golden tones that complemented the cozy rust sweaters in my photos. It created such a strong focal point for my layout and set the color palette for the rest of my design.
I pulled most of my colors directly from the photos, but I also added a pop of contrasting teal to bring more energy and visual interest to the page. That little bit of unexpected color really livens up all the warm autumn tones and helps the layout feel fresh and balanced.
Debbi’s Design Tip: I often pull my color palette directly from the photos — then add one contrasting color for a little spark. It’s an easy way to make your page feel cohesive yet dynamic.

A Leafy Beginning
I started my layout by stenciling the background, using the distressed harlequin stencil from the Fox Box Plus, with two different shades of ink to create soft depth and movement. Then I built a cluster of fussy-cut leaves from the November Paper Snips and tucked in the acorn branch Perspextive for a natural, woodsy texture.
I adhered the leaves only at the center so the edges could curl up for extra dimension. A metal clip added a bit of shine and a different texture — something I think is especially important on fall layouts where you want that mix of cozy and tactile.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: To make your leaves look more realistic, just glue down the centers and gently bend the edges upward. That small detail makes a big difference in giving your layout depth.

Pumpkin Patch Perfection
To bring all the autumn elements together, I used the Film Strip Border die in a warm rust color that echoed the orange tones of the leaves and sweaters in my photos. I matted my photos in a similar rust color to coordinate with the border and tie everything together.
I tucked in a few word strips from the Paper Snips to to the photos and clusters on my page — those fun little storytelling phrases help convey the cozy, happy feel of the layout. They’re such an easy way to add meaning and a pop of color without overwhelming the design.
I also tucked a label behind my photos for an extra layer of interest. A little tip — I actually cut the label in half so I could use each piece in two different spots. It’s a great way to stretch your supplies while keeping your design balanced and cohesive.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: If you love a particular embellishment but don’t have multiples, cut it in half and tuck the pieces behind your photos or clusters. You’ll get twice the use without sacrificing style!

Little Details, Big Impact
I couldn’t resist adding another acorn branch to one of my clusters for balance. The tiny “smile” banner came from the Paper Snips, and I finished it off with a white heart Perspextive from the Monochrome Hearts pack — I always add hearts to pages I give away.
After leaving the layout overnight, I came back with fresh eyes and added a few final touches: some stamping and Nuvo drops for texture and shine. I love how those little details complete the design and make it feel polished.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: I always step away from my layout before calling it finished. Looking at it the next day often helps me spot tiny opportunities to add those perfect final touches.

Until Next Time…
I loved creating this Sweater Season layout — it feels like everything I adore about autumn: crisp air, cozy sweaters, and all those rich colors and textures. Bramble Fox products make it so easy to bring that seasonal magic to life on a page.
Until next time, sending a swirl of autumn inspiration your way!
