Sharing a scrapbook layout using stencil #130 & the perspextive title 'Great Days'

Great Days are the ones worth lingering over, and this layout was created to do just that – pause, reflect, and celebrate a moment that warms my heart. I wanted the page to feel layered and full of gentle detail, much like the memories behind it.

I started with a patterned paper background and added some soft stencilling using #130 stencil, to bring in extra texture without overwhelming the page. This subtle detail sets the scene and adds interest before your eye even reaches the photos. From there, I built up the design with centrally placed patterned paper layers. I tore the bottom edges to keep things relaxed and organic, then finished with trims for extra depth and movement. At the top I added punched scallops and hand stitching that adds a handmade touch that feels perfectly imperfect.

Both photos are the same image, but I love how including a close-up changes the way the story is told. One captures the whole moment, while the other draws you in to notice the smaller details. I placed them in the top left and bottom right corners of the central papers to create balance and encourage the eye to travel across the layout.

The title sits proudly in the centre, anchoring everything. From there, I added clusters of leaves, mushrooms, and acorns that flow diagonally across the page. These little details help guide the eye and bring a playful, seasonal feel that echoes the warmth of the memory.

This page reminds me that Great Days don’t have to be loud or busy – sometimes they’re found in quiet moments, thoughtful details, and the joy of creating something meaningful by hand.
Thanks for joining me today.
Until next time,
