New York, New York

You probably know by now based on my layouts, that we visited New York recently. I have another double-page spread for my album.

I still love the Cityscape Perpextive which doesn't have to be about New York. The lovely glossy black looks awesome against bright inks or paints.

I smooshed Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers and Fosilised Amber. I then stamped to add texture.

I layered a red heart which really pops agains the black.

For the photos taken onboard the helicopter, I matted and layered onto some envelopes and ephemera. How cute is the little apple?! This piece is available in the New York Favourites set. The Arrows V2 set is still a firm favourite - so great for adding a little detail.

To tie-in the left hand page, I used the same inks and colours. I like to add little details when I can. I've done this with stamps and paper strips.

I like to add something to the photos to draw the eye - the Imagine Arrows set are perfect for this. There are 6 designs - Create, Imagine, Adore, Smile, Super, Today.

Although my layout is about New York, you can easily adapt these ideas for any theme.
