24 stories to tell! My take on December Daily

Hi there Foxy Friends!

So.....I'd decided I wouldn't do a December Daily this year. For obvious reasons, I didn't think I'd have much to document but then I thought again! This year the gorgeous Bramble Fox Winter Collection perspextives have stirred some memories of past times and events so using them along with papers and embellishments from the Sugar Cookie Christmas collection by Prima which is full of vintage imagery and bits and pieces from my stash I'll be recording 24 memories of Christmases/Winters past and maybe a few things that happen this December in a jam packed chunky mini album! Here are just a few of the pages I've created so far...............

I've used Gutermann gold thread to machine stitch around some of the pages as for me it works best. I haven't made a cover for the album yet but I think the gorgeous sparkly December will be featuring! The snowflake has been used to make a decoration to hang from the spine.

I love the etching on some of the current perspextives, how cute is that Christmas tree from the Holly & Trees set? This will be our little dachshunds second Christmas and he has brought a lot of pleasure into our lives throughout this year with all the challenges we've faced so I'll definitely be journalling about him on Day 3! Day 3 has a little pocket and tag so I can add a photo or some journalling to the tag if I wish.

I used the string of lights from Fox Dies 5 to embellish my page 'lights around the tree'. For 'Letter to Santa' I have used the cute little pink typewriter and a white envelope from my perspextive stash as they were so right for this page. I love looking back at letters my girls wrote to Father Christmas. The year my youngest asked for a Spice Girls Dress at the last minute was particularly challenging but Father Christmas explained he was right out of dresses but hoped she'd like the Spice Girls mug in her stocking!

The tiny tree and holly leaf have a great mirror effect and as for that nutcracker, you'll find him in the December Fox Box!

The little girl is holding sparkly ice skates (Fox Dies 5). The ivy leaves around the window are embellished with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss. During one particularly hard winter the Ouse which runs through my home town was frozen to such a degree that people were able to skate on it! I was only very small and it was the first time I'd seen anyone skating and oh how I wanted a pair of skates!

I was lucky enough to have a prototype perspextive of the ballerina (which will be in store shortly in a slighty different form) so I've used her here with lots of sparkle, foliage die cuts, sequins and gems and I'll be telling the story of when I was a snowflake in a ballet school production - yes really!

The little pink heart mug is from the Cosy Days set, the eagle eyed will spot the little tag around bambi's neck which came from the Presents and Bows set!

I can't resist a thread cluster!

I've really enjoyed creating these tiny pages and hope I might have inspired you to try something similar.

In my December blog post I plan to bring you more pages and hopefully you'll see my mini album well on the way to completion!

Until then Happy Scrapping and stay safe in the days leading up to Christmas.
