A Happy, Colorful Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani
The January Fox Box Plus has some of the most versatile pieces ever, perfect for any topic or scrapbook collection. The color of the "Extraordinary" title seemed tailor-made for Simple Stories' Good Stuff collection. I used the Perspextive title, Fox cut stencil, and Paper Snips from the January Fox Box Plus, as well as a few other Bramble Fox goodies to create this happy, colorful page. (Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products always look a bit larger on my layouts.)
I started out by creating my background using the super-cool ink-splat stencil that came in the January Fox Box Plus. After brushing Tim Holtz Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide through some of the splats, I added some smaller splats with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. I then layered some doodly circles using black ink and the Fox Stamps #5 Doodles. You're going to want to get this stamp set--it includes 10 different stamps perfect for any layout! The sketchy lines design beside the pink tab (made from Paper Snips #008 | Summer) is also in this stamp set.
The great big peach journaling spot in the Good Stuff collection seemed the perfect spot to hold the gorgeous title. How fun and fanciful is this title with the curlicues and the heart-topped i! The "tremendous day" word strip is from the Fox Box Plus.
Aligning strips is a great way to use all the delightful patterns in a collection without overwhelming your layout and also makes your paper stretch further. Adding stitching, borders, and torn edges creates interest to the paper strips. The Torn Edge Border Template is a must-have for creating the perfect torn edges. The zipper is made from the Fox Dies #13 | Pocket Zip. This is such a fun and versatile die set to have that can add interest to any layout. To create a visual triangle with the two peaches on the layout, I tucked an orange circular element from a Bramble Fox die behind the photo mat.
How fun is this tab from the Fox Box for directing our eye to the photo. If you've read my posts before, you know that I add a heart to every page I give away, and I found a pretty pink heart to add to the peach diecut from the Warm Hearts pack.
