A 'Pitch Perfect' Scrapbook Layout - Tarrah McLean

The Pitch Perfect perspextive from the April shop products felt like the perfect fit for telling my story from a recent camping trip. This scrapbook layout captures the camping moments that feel important — not for the scenery or the perfectly pitched tent, but for the time slowing down, the shared effort of setting up camp, the laughter around the fire, and the deep sense of satisfaction that comes from being out there and making memories together.

I chose the Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans for this layout and hand drew and cut out a tent shape on a multicoloured plaid paper (with a few practices on scrap paper first!) I also added a gold/yellow paper for some depth under the plaid. I chose the plaid with some blues and pinks so that the perspextives would naturally blend on my layout. I love how the hand drawn tent echoes the camping theme and creates a strong visual frame for the page. I added some twine as well to give it that 'ropes and pegs camping feel'.

The Pitch Perfect perspextive title, I placed at the bottom right hand side to balance the page and to draw your eye across the page. I also just had to add one of the camper perspextive pieces too, aren't they just the cutest?! Other little touches like the sun, moth, and leaves help tell the story of the outdoors while keeping the page light and fun.

For embellishing, I reached for Paper Snips #88 and #90, mixing pieces from both to add interest and layers. The sentiment tabs, date stamps, and DIY flair tuck in effortlessly around the photos, helping highlight the camping details without distracting from the story. I love how these Paper Snips make it easy to add small pops of text and colour exactly where you need them.

This layout is a lovely reminder that you don’t need elaborate techniques to create impact—just thoughtful composition, cohesive supplies, and memories worth celebrating. If you love documenting weekends away, outdoor adventures, or camper life, the combination of the Pitch Perfect perspextive title, the Camper perspextives, and Paper Snips #88 & #90 is a definite winning match don't you think?
Happy creating!
