April Challenge | Antonia Sherlock
Hello Crafty Friends, it's Antonia here today with the April 2022 challenge!
This month's challenge is inspired by the changing seasons - for some of us it's the transition from Winter to Summer, for others, its's the other way round. I was inspired by this change, and I wanted everyone to be able to relate to the challenge, no matter which hemisphere of the globe you live on... and so, I chose flowers, representing Spring, and leaves, representing Autumn:
I created now one, but two layouts - they are very different from each other in theme, style and colour choice.
Here is my Spring layout - it's contemporary, with a bright colour palette, very light and airy:
I used the title perspextive and the acrylic flowers from the March Fox Box; I also added a couple of phrases from the sample Snippets cut-apart sheet that came as a sample in the box.
I used mostly Maggie Holmes products for this layout - her classic colour scheme was the perfect match for the March Fox Box!
My second layout is an Autumn layout - I aimed to make this one more in line with traditional scrapbooking - I chose heavier, darker colours and more traditional designs.
The photos were taken in Hungary a few years ago, at a florist's display during Halloween. I really wanted to capture the vibes with my layout, hence the choice for the slightly unusual embellishment pieces and deep, rich colours.
I also wanted to prove that persextives can be just as easily used on traditional layouts, than on modern ones. The gold and brown leaf perspextives and the title acrylic are perfect for this layout!
I hope you find inspiration in this month's challenge. If you want to see how the layouts came together, you can find the process video here.
Also, you have the whole of April to play along with our challenge to be in with a chance to win a Bramblefox shopping voucher by adding your layout to the featured challenge thread on the Bramblefox Friends Facebook group.
Happy scrapping!
Antonia
