Autumn is my Favourite!

Hi friends. Autumn really is my favourite time of year! The rich colours of the leaves are so inspiring. The November Fox Box and new autumnal goodies are perfect for creating a seasonal layout.

Fox Cut #23 stencil is a mix of foliage. It is designed to be layered with different elements. I used Distress Oxides inks - Aged Mahogany and Fossilized Amber with a large, dense blending brush. It is super-easy to create a beautiful, soft background.

I also outlined the leaves with a grey fineliner pen to add a little more detail. Don't be too precise or heavy handed and you'll get a lovely sketchy feel. I then smooshed and splashed inks over the top for more colour and depth.

I layered stickers and ephemera under those cute pumpkins.

We have new Autumn leaves this month which work perfectly with the Autumn Oak released last month. Leaves are always a good idea! I mixed in a stunning chocolate brown and delicate blush leaf with some fussy cut leaves here.

To balance things off, I added another cluster on the opposite side - this will help create a visual triangle around the photos. That totally cute apple is a lovely pop of colour! The Apples & Pears set includes little tiny leaves which can either be tucked in around the fruit or left to flutter on your page.

One of my favourite new items are these gorgeous mushrooms! They have incredible detail and the set contains 9 unique pieces. They are perfect for tucking in here and there.
