Awesome

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Bramble Fox monthly challenge design team blog! October’s challenge was to design a layout using a patterned paper background. I think the Simple Stories Vintage Farmhouse Garden collection was perfect for this challenge and for this amazing photo of my great niece!

I used a craft knife to trace around the edges of the paper’s design on the left side, and then slid in a second piece of patterned paper underneath to add additional color and texture to the background. Next, I used a chipboard frame around my photo and used several embellishments around the photo to create a cluster.

The “Awesome” and “Autumn Oak” perspextives matched perfectly for this layout. I put the Awesome perspextive across the bottom of my photo, and I scattered the oak leaves in several places on my design.

I finished off the layout with some enamel dots and some gold ink splatters. I just love how this came together!
