Hi Everyone! It's Wendy here sharing my first layout for April, I am using the end of my April Fox Box just before all the new April goodies arrive and the May Fox Box! I went to RHS Wisley and the the gardens were just so beautiful with the Spring flowers the Bloomin' Lovely perspextives was perfect to document them.
I decided to go with a purple and green theme to coordinate with the photos I had taken, not having much purple stash as it is not my favourite colour the layout became more mixed media based, I used distress oxides and some stamps to create the back ground.
I created three tags from purple based papers I had, then distressed the edges and drew in fine line pen around the borders. I matted the photos and placed three of them over the mixed media at the top of the layout. I added the Bloomin' perspextive over the first photo and the Lovely perspextive over the adjacent two.
Around the photos I used some leaf stamps and then water coloured them and added a touch of green to coordinate with the pictures.
At the bottom of the layout I made another photo mat and added a flair badge and a fussy cut heart.
I actually really liked the layout although not being a fan of purple! I hope you are inspired to use things outside your comfort zone at times and try colours which may not be your favourite!
