As soon as I opened my August Fox Box and saw the word arrow perspextives, I knew which photo I would scrap, and how…! Don’t you just love it when that happens?!

Hi everyone, my name is Antonia, and I am a member of the new Bramblefox Challenge team! As you might already know, our August challenge is Tic Tac Toe – and I chose stamping, stitching and ribbon / lace from the Tic Tac Toe board.

The acrylic arrows prompted me to use a horizontal orientation on my layout – so I stamped the background in horizontal lines, attached the paper pieces and ribbons in horizontal lines, and did the stitching horizontally, too…

As my photo was taken in nature, I wanted to use earth tones on my layout. As the word arrows were pastel in colour, I chose papers which complemented both the earth tones and the pastel colours – I was pleasantly surprised how well the two worked together!

To stay with the natural look, I distressed the edges of the paper strips, used a piece of jute ribbon, which I cut in half to create some more frayed edges, and deliberately used a random and messy stitch for the machine stitching.

I completed my layout by adding bits of embellishments across the page – I only needed a few small pieces, as the focal point of my layout are the word arrows! These came from the August Fox Box and from the Everyday Arrows pack.

If you’d like to see how my layout came together, you can find my process video here. I hope my layout inspires you to participate in our challenge and also to scrap those photos taken in nature! Don’t forget to submit your entry on the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook group by the end of the month! Happy scrappin’!
