A scrapbook page idea for capturing a family day trip using the Family Adventure title now in the shop.
There’s nothing better than spending a day exploring together, and this scrapbook layout titled “Family Adventure” captures one of their favorite days in London. From visiting the magical Paddington Bear Experience to taking in the iconic sights around the city, this was a day filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories.

Placement of Photos and layering Techniques.
I wanted to use quite a few photos on this layout so laid them in sort of a circle design slightly overlapping. and then backed them onto paper from Simple Stories Simple Vintage Junk Drawer collection. To build on the layers further strips both vertical and horizontally were added using papers from the collection. then using stencil #141 i inked through the circles at each corner of the design.

Building Balanced Embellishment Clusters
Tickets, Banners, clock face, place stamp, flowers and butterflies were used to create clusters above and below, then word strips were added around the photos. To complete the layout the title perspective 'Family Adventure' was added in the centre of the photos and journaling was written to tell the story.

For this layout, I wanted to reflect the fun and energy of their adventure. I combined muted colours, layered embellishments, and playful elements. The photos were the real stars of the page, capturing big smiles, family moments, and all the little details that made the day so special.
One of the highlights was stepping into the world of Paddington and experiencing the storytelling, interactive displays, and whimsical atmosphere together. Seeing everyone fully immersed in the experience made it even more memorable. Afterward, they spent time wandering through London, soaking up the city sights, enjoying the busy streets, and making spontaneous stops along the way.
Scrapbooking Inspiration documenting days spent together.
I kept the design layered but clean, adding ticket-style accents and journaling pieces to help tell the story of the day. The title “Family Adventure” felt perfect because this layout is really about more than just the places they visited — it’s about the joy of discovering new things together and creating memories as a family.
Why this layout works.
This scrapbook layout is effective because it:
Uses layering to create depth.
Balances embellishments for visual harmony
Uses the photos to tell the story
Uses the title to reinforce the theme.
These are the kinds of days we always want to remember: exploring, laughing, and simply enjoying time together. I’m so grateful to have these photos and memories preserved in this layout.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this page inspires you to document your own family adventures, whether they happen close to home or in the middle of a busy city full of magic and wonder.
