Hi Everyone! it seems at last Summer is here and we are able to travel again. I think travel is probably one of the things I missed most during the pandemic. For my first layout in July I am using the June Fox Box Going Places and Adventures perspextives. You may have seen this layout featured in the June FoxZine. I also used the A4 Map Fox Cut #16. I love all the travel collections and I find it hard to resist them. I used Maggie Holmes Round Trip Collection, the colours of the perspextives leant themselves perfectly to the paper collection.
I have had the world map stencil for a little while and it had remained unused and I decided it would be the perfect back ground for my layout. I used distress oxides and blended them across the stencil. I used Scattered Straw, Kitsch Flamingo, Broken China, Salvaged Patina and Evergreen Bough. I was really pleased with how it looked on the page.
I always like to use up most of my Fox Box each month so decided that Adventures and Going Places went well together so then felt I need two distinct area on the page to place them. I created a cluster of tags and tickets from one of the cut apart sheets in the Round Trip Collection, I distressed all the edges of each piece and arranged them around the photo. My photo was of me going down the walkway to the plane and although I've done this many times before after so long it was a real adventure. The length of the perspextive was also perfect for a 3x4 photo to place it vertically along the side.
To balance the layout I decide to place the Going Places perspextive in the opposite corner. Again using tags and tickets and bits of ephemera I created another cluster and added the Going Places over the top.
I added some splatters around the edges of the two clusters using the distress oxides, I then added the mini plane perspextive which was in my stash and then some enamel dots over places in the world which we had jsut come back from pre pandemic and places we are hoping to go to post pandemic!.
I was so pleased with how this layout turned out and is probably one of my all time favourites!
i hope you feel inspired to use up your Fox Box each month and enjoy each piece. Check out www.bramblefox.co.uk for all the latest perspextives and the Summer Collection. There are also more dies, stencils and BRAND NEW Cutfiles all waiting to be snapped up!
Till next time.... Happy Scrapping!
