Happy Snaps & Summer Vibes | Scrapbook Layout by Debbi Tehrani

Summer memories deserve sunshine-filled pages, and the August Fox Box Plus from Bramble Fox brought all the sunny vibes to this cheerful layout! With its playful Perspextives, tropical paper snips, and vibrant stencils, this kit had everything I needed to capture the joy of beachy fun. From adorable sea creatures to bright banners and sunburst skies, this layout was a total blast to create! I scrap in the 8 x 8 format, so the elements on my pages tend to look larger and more prominent—which makes for a bold, playful design!

The title was the jumping-off point for my page—how fun is that layered "happy SNAPS" Perspextive? I placed it front and center, right between my two photos, to immediately draw the eye. To create a bright, summery backdrop, I brushed Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide through Sunburst Stencil #18 to radiate sunshine across the background. The bold yellow and white rays instantly gave this layout the joyful energy I was going for. I then added some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide splatters over the rays to mimic sea spray dancing in the air—bringing just the right hint of cool aqua contrast to all that sunshine.

Next, I had a blast fussy cutting embellishments from the adorable paper snips included in the Fox Box Plus. From the smiling turtle and beach read to the summery flip flops and palm leaves, these details brought the page to life.

I continued layering up the fun with even more goodies from the Paper Snips in the Fox Box Plus and sprinkled in details like word strips from Summer Paper Snips 033 and the brad detail on the camera. One of my favorite bits is that adorable little pelican, perched and ready for a beach snack—he adds such a whimsical, lighthearted touch to the scene.

One of my favorite elements is the translucent crab Perspextive—isn’t he the cutest?—paired with the charming polka-dot stingray, also from the paper snips. These underwater critters included in the Fox Box Plus add the perfect playful touch.

TTo help ground the layout and tie everything together, I added navy photo mats along with a banner strip from the Paper Snips that pulls in all the cheerful colors found throughout the page. The mix of hues in the banner beautifully echoes the tones in the other snipped elements—like the critters, icons, and word strips—bringing a fun, cohesive feel to the design. The touches of blue, especially in the photo mats, add just the right balance to all the bright summer tones.

Down at the bottom, I added even more fun—a retro van and surfboard, from the Paper Snips. I layered in some palm fronds and hibiscus flowers, created using the gorgeous stencil included in the Fox Box Plus, for extra tropical vibes.

I finished off the layout with a couple of Happy Hearts Perspextives and a few crystal Nuvo Drops to mimic splashes of water. I always love adding hearts to the layouts I create and give away—it’s my little signature of love and care. I actually included another heart at the top of the page, and adding this second heart in the same color as the other heart and the title forms a visual triangle that brings cohesion and balance to the design.These little touches add just the right bit of dimension and shine.
