Hooray for Today: A Birthday Layout | Debbi Tehrani

Scrapbooking birthdays calls for fun and festive embellishments, and the May Fox Box fits the bill, with its colorful titles, balloons, starbursts, and more, not to mention an awesome dandelion stencil that doubles as fireworks or confetti bursts! I created this fun and colorful layout to celebrate my grand-niece's first birthday. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.

I've had these fun critter transfers from Dress My Craft forever, and when I saw the orange elements in the Fox Box, I knew this was the time to use them, as I thought the pretty melon color of the title was a nice complement to the teal balloons the bunnies are holding.

Echo Park's A Birthday Wish collection has colors that go nicely with the Perspextives and the transfers, and I fussy-cut some presents from that collection to form a cluster near the title. I created a burst of confetti by brushing Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink in the awesome stencil in the Fox Box Plus. I layered a star-shaped balloon Perspextive from the Fox Box over the teal balloon and tied some thread around the base of the balloon, attaching it to the bunny, to match the string on the teal balloon.

I created a similar cluster in the lower left corner. You can see there was a second orange balloon in the Fox Box. There are also pretty blue balloons in the kit that I've saved for another layout.

I needed some orange on the left side to balance the orange Perspextives, and I found a scrap of paper that I thought go well with the colors of Echo Park's birthday collection. I brought in more teal and extra layers with one of my favorite Bramble Fox products: Fox Dies #20--Film Strip Borders. It's fun adding little bits and pieces from my stash to the photos, like this pink arrow, pink tassel, and teal label. And I found a festive pink photo corner that reminded me of confetti for my bottom photo.

Finally, I added another cluster of presents and some colorful words to create a visual triangle with the other two piles of gifts. If you follow my blog posts, you know I always add a heart to the layouts I give away. I found a pretty pink heart from the Happy Hearts pack. And of course, every party needs a festive banner (this was from the same transfer pack as the bunnies.

The May Fox Box is delightful, colorful, and perfect for birthdays and celebrating all of life's happy moments! I hope I've given you some inspiration for this fun kit!
