Hooray For Today! Scrapbook Layout - Wendy Meffan

There’s nothing quite like celebrating a milestone birthday in the most magical place on earth—and documenting it is just as fun! For this layout, I used the latest August HAppy Birthday Perspextive alongside the July Birthday Candles and Swirls Perspextives to create a vibrant and joyful spread capturing Kirie’s unforgettable 60th birthday trip to Disneyland Paris.

To start the layout, I tore three strips from 12x12 patterned papers in the Simple Stories Fun Times collection. The colours were absolutely perfect—bright, cheerful, and full of personality, just like the Disney experience. These strips grounded the design and added texture right from the start. I layered them vertically to the left of the layout to create a base, then began arranging my multiple photos across the page.

What I loved most about these Perspextives was how effortlessly they coordinated. The August pieces brought in playful tones and dynamic shapes that worked so well with the celebratory vibe of the July birthday elements. The Birthday Candle Perspextives added a whimsical touch, while the swirling accents echoed the energy and movement of the park—perfect for a layout full of smiles, laughter, and Disney magic!

Using several pictures allowed me to tell the story of the days in full, of lots of magical moments. I added in fussy-cut tags from the Fun Times by Simple Stories Collection as decorative accents, tucking them behind photos and then adding some of the mini star persepxtives around them along with Hooray for Today perspextive, perfect in orange. I also added some embellishments from the paper collection to create interest and balance.

For the layout’s title I featured the lovely vibrant coloured Happy Birthday August Perspextive, placed over ephemera and stickers from the paper collection. I added the July swirls and birthday candles around the photos and embellishment clusters to enhance the celebratory theme.

To finish it off, I added some ballon heart perspextives and used a fine line to give them some strings, and a few sparkly Mickey heads all Bramble Fox products. — and perfectly colour-matched to tie everything together. This layout is bursting with energy and joy, perfectly capturing the spirit of Kirie’s 60th birthday in Disneyland Paris.
