July Challenge - Awesome Summer - Joanne Bartell

Hi Fox Friends! I am excited to announce the July Challenge. This month's prompt is a Hello Summer Recipe. Let’s use our summer collections and perspextives and follow the recipe of 1 photo, 2 tags, and 3 patterned papers!

I used the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Coastal collection for my layout. I started off with a 4" x 12" strip of paper horizontally across the page, and a 6" x 8" piece of paper vertically under my photo. I also backed my photo with 3 layers of paper and made 2 tags from the cut-apart sheet. What a great way to use your papers!

I blended Shimmerz Paints through Fox Cut Stencil #17 and Fox Cut Stencil #28 to have sunrays burst out from under the photo of my grandson so happy by the pool. Bramble Fox stencils are a great way to add texture and interest to a project.

I used the Summer title perspextive, which comes in a gorgeous white font. I frequently place perspextive titles right over my photos and add splatters on them for an extra touch. Just remember to let your splatters dry overnight on your perspextives.

I added two tags and twine above the photo along with a Snorkle and 2 Beach Ball perspextives from my summer 2021 stash. Isn't it great to rediscover your Fox stash! I placed the Awesome sentiment from Paper Snips 001 next to the photo and embellished with Coastal die cuts, florals, adhesive brades, and fussy cut elements. The layout was complete after I added Pinkfresh Studio gems and gold splatters for extra summer sparkle!
