Life's a Beach | Morag Cutts

Hi friend. Have you seen the latest Fox Box? It has certainly inspired me to document past holiday adventures. I have created two very different layouts using the August Fox Box and new items in the shop...

I had to have a little play with some of my favourite elements from the August Fox Box. My first is a very shabby-chic layout using 'Vintage Artistry Anywhere' by 49 and Market. I went to town distressing the background paper adding texture paste, stamping and rub-ons here and there.

To add more texutre, I stained a strip of linen with Distress Ink and layered it below my photo. The awesome'Life's a Beach' sign is perfect for my photo of my son trying standup paddle boarding for the first time. I love the etched detail of this design.

Let's Have Fun

In contrast, my second layout is bright and breezy for another family holiday in Cornwall. My daughter had so much fun in that little boat.

I started off by stenciling the background - you may know I'm a little obsessed with sunbursts at the moment. I used Fox Cut #20 to make this one. I applied Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink but now wish I used something brighter. Next I watered down acrylic paint and let that drip onto the background to create fun splodges.

After letting it all dry (which did take a long time), I added the photos and elements. I have used Sunkissed collection by Simple Stories for this one.

I topped off the cluster with the totally cute elements from the Pool Party pack. Look how adorable that little snorkel and mask are!
