Oh What Fun! | Cheryl Gerhard

It’s Cheryl here on the blog today with this fun Christmas / Winter layout. This month’s challenge was to step out of our comfort zone! Something I never do on my Scrapbook layouts is using cut files - not because I don’t like them, but I just never really think of them.

Bramble Fox has released some amazing Christmas bauble cut files that I chose for this month’s layout. I wanted my layout to be red/pink as those two colours have definitely been my favourite to work with this season. I started by tearing a long strip of paper from Simple Stories Mix & A-Mingle for the top and bottom, to frame my page.

For my Christmas baubles I used patterned paper from Sprinkled With Cheer by Rosie’s Studio, as well as red and pink card from my scrap paper stash. The cut files come with several layers and make these baubles look so interesting and dimensional. I also used a very soft yarn to make it look as if my baubles are hanging from the top strip of paper. I wish you could feel how soft it is! It definitely adds a nice touch of texture to this page.

My title perspextive “Oh What Fun” is still available in the shop here. I also used the most adorable stars from the December Fox Box.

Don’t forget to upload your layout to the Bramble Fox Facebook group to be in the change to win £15 to spend in the shop.

xoxo
