Rainy Day Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

Get ready to start scrapbooking your spring photographs because spring titles and embellishments are about to land in the Bramble Fox shop, not to mention the April Fox Box , which is just perfect for spring layouts! I used the April Fox Box Plus to scrap these darling photos of my friend's daughter on a rainy day.

The Paper Snips in the Fox Box Plus is a sheet of rainbows, clouds, suns, umbrellas, and rainboots in such pretty pastels. I looked through my paper stash and found an old Felicity Jane kit that complemented the Paper Snips and the beautiful cursive pink title Perspextive from the April Fox Box.

I placed a piece of patterned paper down the center of the page and stitched scalloped borders on the edges. I fussy-cut some frames from a patterned paper, layered some papers, and then added some of the cute rainbows from the Paper Snips above the photos. I created embellishment clusters to the sides and then decided I needed some raindrops. Fox Cut Rainbows Stencil #59 actually has rainbows and raindrops, but since I don't have that one, I improvised by using Fox Cut Spring Flowers Stencil #57, which has a little pattern that looks sort of like raindrops. The Blending Brushes in the shop were perfect for isolating this part of the stencil.

How adorable is that little smiling sun, cut from the Paper Snips in the April Fox Box Plus. The cute cloud Perspextive also came in the April Fox Box. The black phrase strips are from the March Fox Box, and I thought they added nice contrast to all the pastels.

Some of the clouds on the Paper Snips had smiles too. I adhered one to my page with a pop dot for a floating effect. The adorable sun in the pretty muted yellow is also in the April Fox Box. A pastel pink heart Perspextive from my stash added dimension to the rainbow Paper Snip.

How sweet are the umbrella and rainboot embellishments from the Paper Snips! I added a tassel to create a visual triangle with the teal letter stickers I used. My finishing touch was using a gray fine-tipped pen to create some raindrop shapes on the stenciling.

As the season changes from winter to spring, be sure to snap some pictures, whether it's March winds or April showers or the coming May flowers because you'll want to use all the pretty spring scrapbooking supplies that will be landing in the shop very soon!
