Using the January Challenge sketch as a foundation, this whimsical scrapbook layout brings a 100th day of school story to life with Bramble Fox titles, texture, and playful details. My layout, features a lovely cursive title from the Sweet Memory pack, paired with Paper Snips and a stencil from the February Fox Box Plus.
I had fun playing along with the January Challenge sketch, making it my own by replacing the stars in the design with hearts to go along with the the elements that I used from the February Fox Box Plus (not to mention, the event I was documenting fell one day before Valentine's Day). I love how sketches give structure while still leaving plenty of room to personalize a page, and this one was perfect for letting the beautiful title Perspextive shine.
One quick note: I scrapbook in 8×8 format, so you may notice that Bramble Fox products appear slightly larger and bolder on my layouts—which is one of my favorite perks of working at this size.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Sketches are flexible guides—don’t be afraid to swap shapes or elements to better support your story or theme.

Here's a peek at the sketch challenge that inspired my layout:

When a Title Gets a Little Extra Personality
One of my favorite things about this title is how lovely and versatile it is. The flowing script works beautifully on its own, but it also leaves space to customize it further. I added a subtitle—“she turned 100”—using small alphabet stickers to make the title specific to this moment and help ground the page in its story. This is such an easy way to stretch the use of a title piece and make it feel completely unique to your layout. Even a simple subtitle can add clarity, context, and personality.
I created a soft, textured background by brushing pink ink through the February Fox Box stencil. I added borders at the top and bottom, then used black cardstock with a border punch to bring in more black and visually tie the background to the bold black title.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: If a title feels a little too open-ended, try anchoring it with a subtitle using smaller alphas or phrase stickers. 💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Repeating a strong color—like black—through titles, borders, and accents helps create cohesion across your layout.

Building Depth with Tags, Twine & Texture
I layered my photos over tags just like the sketch suggested, which adds both dimension and a bit of playful movement to the page. I created the tags by tracing a tag shape onto patterned papers, then cutting them out to coordinate perfectly with the rest of the layout.
For extra detail, I added a sweet purse charm that dangles from fuchsia baker’s twine, giving the page a touch of texture and fun, as well as a nod to the purse the little granny is holding in the photos. The Love Me collection from My Mind’s Eye (from several years ago) blended beautifully with the Bramble Fox products, and the phrase strips from the February Fox Box Plus Paper Snips helped reinforce the storytelling.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Tracing shapes from patterned paper is an easy way to create custom embellishments that perfectly match your layout.

Little Critters, Big Personality
How cute are these little critters from the Paper Snips? Their sweet faces just make me smile, and they're perfect for this playful layout. I added pearls and gem stickers to the cluster to dress them up and mirror the jewelry my grandniece wore in her centenarian outfit. It’s a small detail, but that little bit of sparkle helps connect the embellishments back to the photos and makes the page feel extra special.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Pulling embellishment details from your photos—like jewelry or accessories—is an easy way to make a layout feel more cohesive and intentional.

Problem-Solving with Heart (Literally)
I always add hearts to pages I give away, so including heart Perspextives was a must. They were perfect for echoing the color scheme and enhancing the sweet feel of the page.
For the journaling, I found a speech bubble clipart image, typed my journaling inside, printed it, and trimmed it to fit the layout. I didn’t have a pink heart doily on hand, so I used pink spray mist to color one. To balance the design, I added another sweet critter so the embellishments felt intentional and evenly distributed.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Don’t let missing supplies stop you—alter what you already have with ink or mist to make it work.

This page came together with layers, laughter, and more than a few sparkly details—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Moments like these are exactly why I love scrapbooking: a little storytelling, a little creativity, and a lot of heart. Don’t forget to check out all the amazing new products in the shop because treating yourself never goes out of style! Until next time… may all your layouts age gracefully and always include a little bling.
