Travel has a way of etching memories into our hearts, which inspired this layout titled ‘Favourite Destination’. It documents our recent holiday to Menorca and particularly our two visits to the old town of Ciutadella.

To begin, I stencilled a map of the world onto white cardstock (#118 Large World Map) using Iced Spruce Oxide ink. It creates a beautiful backdrop for the vibrant papers and elements from the Happy Travels collection by Simple Stories.
I had to select just a few of my favourite photos from our visits from the dozens I had taken! To add them all to my page without looking too busy, I printed them small and clustered them together, some into strips. I find that this helps they eye to see balance rather than be overwhelming.

I had purchase the Paper fox Class in a Box kit which was brilliant for scrapping my recent travels. I had plenty of supplies left over and lots of smaller but precious scraps. So to make use of them, I cut the papers down into different shapes and sizes.
I find it easier to arrange the photos first and then create the paper pieces below. The banners and different shapes provide wonderfully rich texture to the photos.

Paper Snips are cut apart sheets which are a fantastic way to extend a collection. I fussy cut elements from Paper Snips #077 & #078 and made a cluster of the bottom left of the photos. To finish I added the Favourite Destination added a little Perspextive people from my stash.
I hope I've inspired you to scrap lots of photos from a favourite trip. Until next time.
Paula
